Horrible experience with Budget Rooter. They try to avoid any possible way to not to do repairs under warranties repair requests. I told my warranty company that I don't want budget rooter for my repair requests. They file lie reports to warranties company. The customer service is horrible. They never never pick up the phone.
Fidelity Home Warranty should quit contracting horrific service companies like Budget Rooter.
Well, I had an appointment with Budget Rooter today for a plumbing issue. I waited from 2-7p.m. and no one showed up, nor have they called. When I called, the Budget Rooter's phone, my call went to voicemail. This prompted to look the reviews of the company up and guess what? They have an average of 1 point on nearly every site!
I need American Home Shield to quit contracting horrific service companies. I had a similar experience with an HVAC provider that they contract with as well. I am going to call them and request another company ASAP.
This company is awful. *** should drop them as a service provider. My experience is just like all the others. Appt was scheduled and company promptly came by to assess the problem (faulty faucet). We then waited WEEKS, with no response from them. Calls went straight to voicemail. This company then had the audacity to mark the service as completed, despite having NEVER returned to complete the job! AVOID this company!
dispatched Budget Rooter to us because our water heater wasn't heating. The technician, *** came out and stated it needed to be replaced. They gave us a window for arrival from 10 am to 3 pm but he arrived at 6 pm. The tech used duct tape on the vent hose, he didn't secure the vent correctly to the wall and the worst was he burned our wall. I have contacted the company and sent them pictures of the poor job the tech did. At first, I was told they would come back to fix the problems but then they stopped answering their phone. I have read numerous reviews on Yelp, where they state the same problem of not answering their phone, terrible customer service, and poor job performance. They don't value their customers or take pride in their job. I"m not confident that this heater is safe or correctly installed, since we have a burn mark on our wall.
My toilet started leaking on Thursday, January 2. I contacted American Home Shield and they assigned Budget Rooter out of Citrus Heights, California (CSLB 1007353). The earlier appointment they had was on Thursday, January 9.
On January 9, a technician arrives, verifies the leak and diagnosis it as the wax seal. He goes out to his truck to get the part, and returns ten minutes later (after smoking a cigarette while at his truck) to tell me that he doesn’t have one on his truck. I asked when they will have the part and return, and he said “probably tomorrow”.
The next day, I dont hear from Budget Rotter. I call them to get status, but nobody answers.
By January 14, I still have had no response from Budget Rooter. I spend an hour on the phone with my home warranty company, and the warranty company tries to reach Budget Rooter too. While on the phone with the warranty company, Budget Rooter emails me with an appointment time that I am not available for. Finally after about 4 hours of leaving voicemails and then receiving emails fromBudget Rooter, I get an appointment time for Friday, January 17 from 2:00-5:00. .
Budget Rooter does not call or show up. I try calling them, but their office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:00. I call my home warranty company again and am told they will have a resolution for me on Saturday morning. Saturday morning - no call, no resolution. Call home warranty company again, and they say we have to wait to hear from Budget Rooter.
Over two weeks, and still no resolution. It shouldn’t take this long for a basic repair.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
Horrible business from customer service to technicians. Unprofessional, rude, unresponsive and apparently make their money off contracts with home warranty companies never providing or finishing a service. Gone over 1 month without a water heater because of their shenanigans. They need to shut down asap.
This company was chosen by our home warranty co. to replace our hot water heater. The ins. co paid for the new Hot water heater, disposal of old and labor. Our portion of the total cost was to be $950. One of the items was an earthquake strap. I spoke to a lady (***) in the Budget office the day before installation and told her being the new water heater was identical to old, our existing straps should work. She assured me that the charge of $95 would be removed if the old straps were used. On the day of installation the plumber, ***, finished the job and requested payment of $950. I told him that *** had told me if the old EQ straps were used the charge for that item would be deducted. He proceeded to scream at us that he wanted his money. He made a phone call in his truck, threw the phone down, and proceeded to continue screaming at us from his truck. He threatened us saying he would put a lien on our home, got in his truck and left. I spoke to the office of Budget and offered a Credit Card payment over the phone. I then authorized $855 to be charged to my card. After that we found out the company never pulled a permit. We tried for two weeks to get in touch with Budget by phone. After the two weeks I filed a dispute with my CC co, filed a complaint with the State Licensing board and my husband went to the city and got a permit. The inspector from the city agreed that the flu was the original and no new parts were used. We did not sign the contract stating the work was completed because the plumber never stopped yelling long enough to even ask for a signature. Our ins. co requested that Budget send us a copy of the contract (we never even had a copy itemizing the charges). They faxed a copy of the contract, the $95 for the straps was move from "straps" to "labor". The license holder "***" called us to demand payment after my CC co let him know that the $855 was being disputed. The final amount we will pay is $555. That is $950 minus $95 for the straps, $160 for the permit, $140 for the flu. To this date we have not heard from Budget. The installation of the water heater was July 30.
Scheduled and confirmed a "sometime between 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m." service call. No show, no call, no call back to either me or my home warranty representative. Reviews online show that this is their standard operating procedure.
Company does work for home warranty companies and will not return any calls. Technician came out, supposedly fixed the issue, but did notice that there was mold present. Budget should not have replaced the part due to the mold being present. Do not use if at all possible.
