Budget Rent-A-Car

I rented a car from Budget, and it was absolutely filthy when I received it. I told [redacted] when I picket it up and he ignored me. It took me an hour to clean it for my family. There was food stuck to the seat I had to scrape off, trash in the doors, and just a totally disgusting car. I called corporate hq and they said they noted the complaint, but it will go nowhere. They offered me a $10.00 coupon for my future Budget rental. Why would I ever use them again?The information in the computer also said it was an insurance claim, which is not true at all. It was to drive my kids to San Francisco for a concert.

I reserved a vehicle online for 11-12 Aug 2012 at Budget.com, through USAA, and declined the gas option. I picked up the vehicle and the next day was running extremely late for my flight, so I returned it without filling up the tank. On the rental agreement, I saw that "An automatic $13.99 U.S. refueling service charge will be applied to all rentals under 75 miles." It also indicated that "The Fuel Service Option price is not included in your reservation total. The prevailing market rate for fuel will be assessed when you return your car". My online quote was $102.72. My bill was $229.52. When I inquired, I was told by one employee that I had returned the tank 3/8 full and was charged $8.95/gal for fuel. Then his manager told me I was charged $9.29/gal for fuel. Neither of those conflicting amounts were "prevailing market rates" (which was approx $3.74/gal) nor was ANY price-per-gallon even indicated on the rental agreement. I was not informed of any price per gallon beforehand.
