Product not as requested, business still demanding final payment despite stating final payment would be when product was delivered and I was satisfiedConsulted with sales representative [redacted], and chose blinds to match those in our house already. She asked if I would like corded or cordless blinds, and I stated that I was ok with corded blinds as long as they were similar to what I had ([redacted] retractable cord cellular blinds) as I had small children, and did not want cords dangling down. Blinds were delivered and installed June 7/16, where I discovered that they were not retractable cord blinds, but rather the cord hung down past the floor when the blind was retracted. I have 3 small children, and was not ok with having cords hanging, even if they could be tacked up to the wall - it still poses a safety risk. I called the business the same day as installation, and was informed that because I had 'okayed' corded blinds, this was what I got, and no changes or refunds or discounts could be made. I am not happy with the end result, as it was not as I requested. [redacted]. The business was not willing to negotiate any discount for replacement, and demanded final payment ($440.40) regardless of whether I was happy with the result. When the contract was signed, the sales representative stated that the final payment would be made after the blinds were installed and 'when I was happy with them'. This seems not to be the case, as I am not happy with the final result, and stated so, but am still being forced to make the final payment.Desired SettlementI am seeking replacement of 2 of the blinds (kitchen and dining room) that are in the most critical areas (where my children frequently play) with blinds that do not have cords that can potentially hang down to the floor. Business Response [redacted] (sales consultant) met with the client and when retractable cord was requested she was informed we do not offer that mechanism as it is unique to the [redacted] brand. Client elected to go with the Cordless option in the child's room only and the standard cords in the other areas of the home, and only charged for the Cordless option on the child's shade. The sales agreement was written and gone over in detail with client which is when the client also selected cord locations for the Cellular shades and Roller shade. Total agreement was $1940.40 Client signed the agreement on May 2nd, and provided payment via [redacted] Auction gc's in the amount of $1500, with o/s amount due at install - $440.40. Client claimed she ordered retractable cord and then changed her story to state cordless (when she was told we don't carry that option) was informed after her install when she raised concern to [redacted], that the order was filled as requested and never charged for it/nor ordered. As a resolve, we are willing to have the client pay the surcharge for the 2 shades requested to be cordless, plus a re-installation fee and we will cover the cost of the shade itself. Her payment is due in full upon ordering though in addition to her o/s balance from the initial order. We have tried to contact the client but have been unable to reach her to this point. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Review: I ordered interior plantation shutters for my windows in my home. Company said it would take 6 to 8 weeks to come in. It took 10 weeks. When they arrived, they were the wrong kind as well as wrong dimensions. Stated clearly on invoice 3 sided shutters. Owner of company ordered 4 sided shutters. As a result, had to reorder. In the meantime, I was billed for shutters and I paid half.Owner of company NEVER apologized and did nothing to expedite re-order. Only thing she told me was "I wouldn't put something in your house that I wouldn't put in mine." Never ever offered any solution. Had to wait another 6 weeks for shutters to come in. Learned instead of ordering new shutters, she ordered frames. Spoke with her Corporate Rep Mike Lord who apologized and said he was going to contact owner of company. He also said he'd check back with me. I haven't heard from him. This has caused great distress and inconvenience. For 5 and a half months, I have had paper temporary blinds covering my windows. I paid half of invoice, and I still did not get all shutters installed in my home. They are here today (12-13-14) attempting installation with pieces and parts from previous order and reorder of some parts. I don't believe they will be successful. Is what they did fraud?Desired Settlement: Company needs to take responsibility for their errors. Customer care is sorely lacking. No communication. Serious lack of customer care. No urgency for making things right. Terrible way to do business. Company did not even do a complete re-order. They are attempting an installation today with pieces of previous incorrect order and new parts of shutters orders. These are custom built shutters so everything should fit together. I would like corporate office to know about this. Norman Corp.
Review: On May 16 2013, I ordered custom blinds for three windows. **. [redacted] came to my home and measured my windows and I paid him using a credit card in full one thousand dollars. He told me that in four weeks I'd have them. It's written on my receipt. About two weeks later I saw blinds exactly like the ones I ordered from Budget Blinds for hundreds of dollars less. So, I called him and said. I'd like to cancel the order. He said I can't it's a special order. Instead of going through the sales talk I said to go on with the order. Well, four weeks passed and no blinds. It's now six weeks. The last time I spoke to **. [redacted] he said he thought I was going to cancel payment to Budget Blinds my credit card that's the reason why I didn't get the blinds on time.(the blinds were already paid on my credit card when he said that) The last time I spoke to **. [redacted] was on Monday 6/17/13. He said I'd have them in five business days. That was nine business days ago.I have been calling him and leaving him messages he hasn't returned my call. That's why I'm contacting the Revdex.com.. **. [redacted]'s cell number is: [redacted]. I'd appreciate your help.Desired Settlement: I'd like to have the blinds soon. Or reimburse my money soon.
