Customer's complaint is a one of a kind situation. We and the manufacturer have sold many of these blinds and never experienced a complaint of this nature. We also own this same blind and it does not produce heat. It is an excellent product. In order to try and satisfy customer, we agreed to provide...
a solar screen at no charge in order to help cut the heat. We do not manufacture any products and order them custom to fit. Our screens are delivered every other Friday. Unfortunately, we have experienced many errors and "forgotten" orders from this vendor over the past 5 months. This order plus 2 others were not delivered as originally scheduled and we have to wait until the next delivery on 8-22-14. Since customer did not want to wait until such time we had the screen to install, and filed this complaint instead, we are contacting her to arrange to satisfy her request and remove the shade and refund her money. The amount to be refunded is $358.50. The original price of blind was $379. However, she was given a 10% discount. The price paid for blind was $341.10 + $17.40 tax. Customer has sent several condescending text messages, therefore, we did quit responding. We were actively working to resolve her "issue", however, as stated at the bottom of our invoice "we are not responsible for delays in manufacturing or shipping." Until such time we had her screen and could actually help her, we felt it unnecessary to continue to respond to her negative texts.
Review: The company sold us blinds that were suppose to be of top quality and help cool our home from the outside heat. On the first day the blinds did the opposite and made it impossible to cool the home. The blinds increased the temperature inside the house and even heated the windows. I contact the company immediately and was insured that the problem would be rectified. The owner even offered to change the blinds at his out of pocket expense. I did not want him to lose any money and we agreed that he would install a 90% sun screen. It has been 6 weeks now and we have received nothing but excuses.Desired Settlement: At this point I want the blind removed and my money refunded.
