December 3, 2015Re: [redacted]To Whom it May Concern: We installed a short block in [redacted] Subaru Vin#[redacted] on 4/01/2014. The short block was installed by a Subaru Master certified technician and was paid for and...
released to the customer on or about 04/05/2014. We were contacted by [redacted] Subaru and Mr. [redacted] on or about July 1, 2014 about issues he was having with the vehicle. We paid [redacted] Subaru $914.86 to fix some of the issues and then drove a loaner vehicle up to Mr. [redacted] in Seattle and brought his vehicle back to our facility to finish the repairs. The vehicle was released back to Mr. [redacted] on or about 8/20/2014 after completing the repairs at no charge to Mr. [redacted] for the loaner or repairs. Since that time I have not been contacted by [redacted] Subaru or Mr. [redacted] about any ongoing issues with his vehicle. The turbo and turbo hose that were mentioned in the letter were not any of the parts that were replaced when installing the short block. The warranty on the short block that was installed is 3years or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first) so if there were any issues with the short block, the repairs could have been done at any Subaru dealership Nationwide. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to properly maintain fluid levels for proper lubrication and cooling in the vehicle. Sincerely,Daryn W[redacted]Service ManagerBud Clary Chevrolet
