Bud Bunn's Repair Shop

Review: I took my vehicle to Bud Bunn and told him that there was knocking and rubbing of metal in the front end. He told me it was front struts and control arms. I gave him $375 for the parts and he never gave me a receipt, written estimate or completion date. He refused to give me a receipt until after the car was all fixed. I waited and waited and waited some more. After 4 weeks I called him and told him he had one more week to get it fixed. He then calls me on the friday of week 5 and tells me to come to garage. I go to the garage and he says I have a broken steering knuckle and that it cannot leave the garage until it gets fixed. He then has me pay a complete stranger another $100 dollars to go get a used steering knuckle from a junkyard. AGAIN both people refused to write me a receipt. Then I get another call from him on Thursday of Week 6 to go pickup the car. He then tells me that I owe him $150 for labor before I can take the car. While pulling it out of the garage he has a couple last minute issues with the brakes and does some quick fixes due to the replacement knuckle from the junkyard. He gets the car out of the garage and I ask him for a receipt and he states he is incredibly to busy to write a receipt and told me to stop back by the next day. As Im leaving the garage I realize that the car is still making the same noises in the front end. Declaring that he didnt fix the parts that were causing the noise. I realized I payed $625 for parts and labor that I did not ask for. I stop by the next day to pickup my receipt and he initiated a confrontation with me because I told some friends of his poor service and the problems I was still having with the car. I asked him for a receipt and again he refuses to give me one because he is so busy even though he had time to argue with me for 30 minutes and tend to another customer. He then went back to work and left me and my 1 year old daughter standing in the garage waiting. It wasnt until his wife came in that he decided to write up a receipt.Desired Settlement: The receipt given to me states labor charges were $150. I gave him $150. The receipt states parts totaled $353.37. I gave him $475. I would like a refund for the amount he overcharged me for parts. I would also like compensation for lost time and wages while waiting 6 weeks for the car to be repaired, which he completed in 4 days once I notified him of my intentions to contact the Revdex.com. Under PA. law, I am entitled to a written estimate including a completion date. Neither of which I was given
