Bushey Auto Repair

On January 2, 2018, my car didn't start. I got a jump start from a neighbor and proceeded to find a shop that could help me out. I went to Bushey Auto in Essex Junction, VT and he was able to change my battery while I waited. The total bill was $258.85. I felt I was charged too much and he said that's how much the battery costs. I paid the bill and immediately went to *** nearby. They informed me that battery retails for $136.99 and that was how much he was supposed to charge me. They also informed me there is no core charge for businesses. My daughter went and spoke with him about this issue, but it was not resolved. I was charged $189.95 for the battery alone, $20.00 disposal fee that he doesn't even pay, and $37.50 in labor, and $11.40 in tax. He only pays $121.00 for any battery purchased as wholesale. If I had known at the time that *** also installs batteries for free, I never would have gone to his shop. I feel I was taken advantage of because I'm a woman and a senior citizen.

I brought my car to Bushy's auto repair and had them fix a stalling problem. They called and told me that it was my Battery and Starter. I had them repair the car and I went and picked it up it cost me 667.00 dollars. the very next day it broke down again with the same problem.
