Brown and Son gave us an accurate and reasonable estimate to have our septic system emptied and a pipe fixed. They were accommodating when scheduling and they performed the job well. They are friendly and professional.

Review: I called Brown and Son Septic to have my septic pumped out. I was asked if I was having any problems and I said no. Later after thinking about it I called back and said I was having problems with my toilets flushing but they are both low water use toilets and we have always had problems. I was told that one of their trucks was broke down but someone would come take a look at it and then it could be pumped later that day. When Mr. Brown (I assume) arrived the next morning with a shovel and went around to the tank I told him that I was not having a problem with anything backing up. He insisted he had to dig a hole in order to see if things were working properly even though there is a top that can be unscrewed to look into the septic tank. He said he had to dig a hole to look at the intake part. I was later told by a professional that he could have just checked the clean out pipe that was clearly visible in front of him on the side of the house. Everything was working properly and Mr. Brown said his son would come pump the tank on Nov. 6th. He then told me I owed him $250 for his hours worth of work. I was shocked as he had never told me I would be charged for him to come out and "take a look" at things. I paid Mr. Brown but felt I had been taken advantage of to make up for his loss of revenue while one of his trucks was in the shop. He should have informed me ahead of time that he would charge me to come out and "take a look." My husband called him and confronted him with this issue and we told him we would no longer need his services.
