Brookwood Auto Group

I purchased a used vehicle from Brookwood Auto Group. During the transaction, the salesman told me and my son that he had started Brookwood Auto Group after working for dealerships for many years. He stated that the vehicle had recently been serviced by their mechanic, replacing all belts and that although the vehicle was old, that they had found no major issues. After less than 100 miles, I had to take the vehicle to my mechanic because it wouldn't stay in drive. The diagnosis was that the transmission needs to be rebuilt, the water pump needs to be replaced, they only replaced belts that were visible and the engine has an oil leak. The estimate to rebuild the transmission, replace the water pump, timing belt and drive belts is $7,432.47. This amount does not include any repairs needed due to the oil leaks, only a dye test to see where the leaks are coming from. I contacted Brookwood Auto Group to let them know and was told that the person who sold me the car no longer works there and was not the owner. The person I spoke to said he was the owner and seemed willing to work with me. He said he was helping someone and he would contact me the next day, but if I didn't hear from him, to call him. He never called, so I called him. When he answered, he said he was on the phone with his mechanic and he would call me back in 20 minutes. He never called me back so I waited until the next day and called again. I left a message, but have yet to receive a response.
