Review: I purchased ** Vinyl windows and installation from Brookside. I contacted them numerous times about seal failures. I now have frost and ice forming on the inside of most the install windows. These were poor quality defective products and I have gotten more reluctance and willingness to have both Brookside and [redacted] stand by these windows. They were failing immediately after installation.Desired Settlement: I want a permanent acceptable resolution for a defective product

We received the above complaint filed by Mr. [redacted]. This complaint of ice buildup happened on the coldest day . of the year, 1/7/2014 when outside temperature was at least -10 degrees. I contacted Mr. [redacted] immediately after I received his voice mail expressing ice buildup on the inside of 1 window, a 3 lite picture window on the front of his house. In the voice mail he informed me that he had already filed a complaint with you and intended to file "other complaints." I immediately went to the home a day later and did see some ice buildup which was already dissipating.
I took with me the following literature from the manufacturer of his windows, 7D Industries on window condensation as well as literature from [redacted], one of the largest window manufacturers in the country. I also asked him to call you and listen to your tape on window condensation so it would maybe be more believable coming from the Revdex.com rather than window manufacturers. I have enclosed their copies for you.
I discussed with Mr. [redacted] the fact that interior window condensation is caused by too much moisture in the inside air and he admitted that his humidity level was 33%. The window itself is on the front, windy side of his home which sits on top of a hill.
If you look at the study in the [redacted] condensation paperwork done by the University of-Minnesota Laboratories (see maximum recommended humidity levels), Mr. [redacted] said his humidity level was at least 33% at a time when the outside temperature was at least -10 degrees. The chart says from -10 to 0 degree, the inside humidity should be no more than 25%. The next day I was there, the ice was already dissipating according to Mr. [redacted] as the temperature was higher than -10 degrees.
I left all this information with Mr. [redacted] including ways to remedy the interior condensation and asked him to read all and call me if he isn't satisfied after reading. I have not heard back from Mr. [redacted] as of today.
Would also like to point out that on numerous occasions, under warranty, ** has provided Mr. [redacted] with replacement sash for what he called seal failure (condensation buildup between the 2 panes of glass) since windows were purchased in 2008.
2/21/2011 received 1 new sash no charge under warranty
3/03/2011 received 1 new sash no charge under warranty -
4/01/2013 received! new sash no charge under warranty
6 /19/2013 received 1 new sash no charge under warranty '
All this was done without question. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call.
Thank You
