Cancelled my project, but continues to build sheds for others without extended my family the same opportunity.I had verbally contracted RDUSHEDS on August 10th 2015, to build me a 12X12 shed on my property in Apex NC. We had an agreed set price, and a day assigned for my project (Originally Aug.18th), so I invested time and money preparing my sight based on our verbal contract. On the day of the 18th, I received an e-mail from my RDUSHEDS contact claiming they couldn't build my shed that day do to escalating weather conditions. I understood and asked to reschedule the project for another date. We rescheduled the project for August 29th which was a Saturday. On August 19th, I reached out to RDUSHEDS via e-mail to ask how much it would cost to add "hardy plank" siding to my project. Instead of receiving a cost estimate back, I got an e-mail from my contact at RDUSHEDS thanking me for the opportunity, but declining to further go forward with building my shed. Puzzled, I attempted to call my contact at RDUSHEDS, but got his voice mail which I left a message(Called twice). He never returned my calls. I responded to the e-mail I received, asking why my project had been cancelled so abruptly without a reason. I received a reply back stating that for medical reasons, they could no longer commit to building my shed. I understood the situation and wished them good health going forward, but asked that he contact me should they get back into building sheds. I later found out that RDUSHEDS continued to build sheds for customers after the fact and still does to this day. They've posted projects completed via social media, and continues to take work requests via their website. I know others who have received quote request responses back from RDUSHEDS which further identifies that they are still building. Unfortunately no one from RDUSHEDS has returned my inquiries asking if I could get my shed built. To this day I still don't know the real reason why my project was ultimately cancelled, and why RDUSHEDS continues to ignore my requests for business. I feel as though I'm being discriminated on for some reason.I wouldn't have thought about filing this complaint with the Revdex.com, if it hadn't been for the fact that I invested time and money preparing for the work to be completed by RDUSHEDS. We had a verbal contract in place which ultimately was canceled for reasons that may or may not have been true at time. I do know I was lead to believe that RDUSHEDS would no longer be building sheds for the reason previously stated, but continues to build and refuses to give me the opportunity to complete my project they so abruptly cancelled earlier.Desired SettlementI would like to find out why my project was cancelled originally, and why RDUSHEDS continues to ignore the opportunity I have for them to build my shed. If the original reason was for medical reasons, then I understand the need to cancel. But since they've continued building sheds/building for other customers, why is my family not extended the same opportunity. Just doesn't seem fair nor good business practice.I don't expect to hear from RDUSHEDS regarding this matter, as all other inquires go unanswered. I have reached out several times in hope they would do what's right, but ultimately feel I will continue to be ignored for whatever reason. If anything, this complaint should help with the understanding of how not to treat your customers, or opportunities you already have going forward. Plus this stands as a lesson to be learned for others looking to have a shed built by RDUSHEDSBusiness Response /[redacted]/The customer was informed that we do not service his area, not sure what part of that is confusing to him.Consumer Response /[redacted]/RDUSHEDS response is absolutely false, and a complete fabrication with regards to this complaint. I have the entire e-mail string from RDUSHEDS from the first communications with respects to accepting the job(there was a verbal contract over the phone, and this e-mail acceptance Contract) setting up the day of the install and everything going forward. The difference in grade is about 20in.The build site is roughly 160 ft off the main road straight on. You would park on the street(not on the grass because of irrigation lines), and carry the material to the site. The site is ready to go. An electrical outletis roughly 110 feet from the site, and I have both electrical cords and a generator with fuel at your disposal.I want the door and window installed on the front side of the building, not the gable side.Similar to the picture of the one you have on the front page of your website. You will see my request as well as the confirmation from RDUSHEDS acknowledging the day of the install. The area on the install was clearly marked on the request . In fact I spoke with RDUSHEDS on the phone to confirm they service this area which they did and advised they are in Apex on Tuesday, hence the date. After the phone conversation RDUSHEDS asked me to submit this request via their website to lock in the date.Below are more e-mails proving the continued dialog going forward confirming the job. From:"[redacted] Date:Mon, Aug 10, 2015 at 11:46 AMSubject:Re: RduSheds.com ScheduleYeswww.rdusheds.comOn Aug 10, XXXX XX:XX AM, "[redacted] C" wrote:As far as payments go, do you take a personal check?[redacted]Sent from Yahoo Mail on AndroidFrom:"[redacted] Date:Mon, Aug 10, 2015 at 11:29 AMSubject:Re: RduSheds.com ScheduleCorrect, depending on how much leveling is actually required.www.rdusheds.comOn Aug 10, XXXX XX:XX AM, "[redacted] wrote:Thanks [redacted]! Also it would appear that their intent to cancel may not have had anything to do with health related issues as they continue to build sheds to this day. In fact, a friend of mine just received a quote request back from the company yesterday with a confirmed day and price for the install. It is my belief that this company is willing participating in dishonest business practices; as evident in their response to this complaint as the reason why, and setting up customers for work they don't intend on completing. I also feel their practices may error of the side of unlawful with respects to breaking contracts.
