Review: I ordered a transmission from this company that was supposedly re-manufactured and upgraded for $880. It was supposed to have the following upgrades: 500 boost valve kit, [redacted] servo, high energy clutches, and shift kit, and a wide band. Upon receiving the transmission, the exterior housing was damaged by the shipping company. Due to being unable to ship it back to the seller and the seller unwilling to help rectify the exterior damage, I decided to have the parts from the bad housing, that were supposed to be new, put in the good housing that came out of my truck. I took it to a local transmission shop and, while watching the shop [redacted], they opened up the "re-manufactured" housing to find that not only had none of the upgrades been preformed, but the transmission had burned up clutches and old bearings in it. It looked as if it had been pulled from a high mileage junkyard vehicle, and the exterior cleaned and painted. I contacted the seller who denied this and states that it was not possible for this to have taken place in his shop. He stated that the transmission shop locally was lying to me and "trying to pull the wool over" my eyes. The local shop that I used has hundreds of good references to their credibility, and I saw the defective and misrepresented product with my own eyes. After talking with the shipping company, they have agreed to refund my cost of shipping due to the damage of the exterior housing. If I would have put this transmission in my truck it would have burned out within a few hundred miles. I am appalled at this business practices and more so at their unwillingness to work with me to rectify this situation. I had the transmission shop locally just rebuild the original transmission from the truck as I have not a had a vehicle for over a month.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back from the misrepresented and defective product I received. I do not want to do business with this shop again or in the future. I would not trust an exchange product from this business as the first was not what it was supposed to be and I can not afford any more costly repairs due to bad products. If I get my money refunded I would gladly ship back the bad transmission housing and bad parts to the seller because I do not need them, but I will not ship them without refund because that would give them opportunity to destroy the evidence. If this complaint does not rectify the situation I will pursue the seller in litigation, though I hope this will be sufficient.

Review: In October of 2013, I paid for a transmission rebuild at Broad Street Auto Services. Since that rebuild, I have had multiple returns to this company for transmission repairs. The delivery of services made was inaccurate and faulty. Many of these repairs were not covered by the warranty they originally advertised as an inclusive warranty. When I attempted to seek repairs and clear answers, staff members were evasive and belligerent. They were unable to put me in contact with the owner of this business, and often provided conflicting stories about who actually owned the business. My vehicle remained at the business for extended periods each time for repairs, and it was always difficult to contact the company by phone or in person to get a finish date for the repairs. With the final repair of my vehicle, the staff held my vehicle until I contacted police assistance and a payment for services not even completed was made to them in the amount of $450.00. At that time they requested payment in cash or credit but the credit card machine was down. They would only accept cash. When I refused, I was told to get a money order or cashiers’ check for payment. When I did drive off in the vehicle, I was unable to even drive it back to my home. The check engine light was on, and multiple issues with overheating and the transmission were present. I drove the vehicle to [redacted] in Ashland, who just completed a new transmission rebuild. They documented multiple inaccuracies with mechanical installation and repair work completed by Broad Street Auto Services. Overall, this company advertised services they could not complete. They were unable to deliver services and showcased multiple examples of inappropriate customer service.Desired Settlement: I want my money back for all repairs made at this company. The transmission rebuild was never completed accurately, and this company was completely unprofessional and advertised a false warranty. If this is not possible, I simply want this company out of business so no other Richmonder will have to go through this experience!

Regards,
Review: I puschased a transmission (700r-4) that carried a two year warranty. My trans. arrived only to find out it wasnt the one that even fit my vehicle. So I contacted the company and spoke to a guy that goes by the name of [redacted]. He told me that there was a mix up and my trans. ended up going to a company in Ca. [redacted] said that I would not be charged for shipping because of their mistake, a 150.00 charge. I got the correct trans. a week later and had it installed by my mechanic. My mechanic called and told me that the transmission didnt look like it was never even rebuilt after noticing the old gaskets and old grease. After the install He started the car up and put it in gear it made a horrible grinding noise coming fron the transmission and would barely move the car. I called Transmission Kings now called Broad St. Auto and talked to [redacted] and He immediately blamed my mechanic for not installing it properly. Then he told me that it was a issue with the torque convertor which was also purchaced from them and that was not under their warranty. I was told that the convertor was totally seperate from the transmission and they could to nothing for me! I insisted on a refund and did not want the transmission. [redacted] told me to send the transmission back to them and he would give me a refund. So thats exactly what I did. I sent the transmission back to Broad St. Auto Services on March 13, 2015 and Im still waiting on my refund! He will not answer the phone or e-mails that I send them. Ive spent $178.79 for shipping back to them,$150 for torque convertor and $850 for a bad transmission that was painted to appear like it was rebuilt. If anyone reads this and has a problem with this company or Transmission Kings (same Company) I urge you to contact the Attorney General of Virgina and talk to a Mr. [redacted]. (He 's working with me to retrieve my monies)Desired Settlement: $1,178.79

Review: I will file a complaint with the Revdex.com tomorrow . this has been crazy, I sent them the Transmission VIA [redacted] as instructed and was told I would pay the freight one time once they were finished with the Transmission. So I sent it COD. They then refused it and it sat in the [redacted] terminal for 5 days. I called to see how they were coming and they told me they hadn’t received it. Then I had to pay the [redacted] 180.00 + 50.00 to take it back to Broad Street Auto Service. A few days later they told me the transmission was toast and they were going to rebuild another transmission and send to me. They then called me on Friday and told me they would be sending it out Monday morning. I asked them to ship it to the [redacted] as they told me they were sending it back the same carrier that I had used. They told me the shipping would be 160.00 so I authorized it for the amount they told me. 160.00 Later That night I noticed on my phone I recieved an e-mail from a company called [redacted] saying they had debited my account 200.00 for shipment of a transmission. I immediately replied that I had not authorised a 200.00 payment & that I had authorised a 160.00 Payment. [redacted] reimbursed me that night but did not take out the 160.00 payment . Saturday Morning I recieved a call from Broad Street Auto Service giving me a tracking number [redacted] Which I assumed would be [redacted]. I explained to the man on the phone that my account had been debited for 200.00 not 160.00 and wanted to find out who authorized it. He told me they were shipping it to my home. I told him no that they were supposed to send it to the [redacted]. Later that day my account was debited 200.00 from Broad St Auto Service. Monday morning when I called [redacted] to find out where the transmission was they had no record of it and the tracking number was 1 diigt short. So I called Broad Street back and This time they tell me they had sent it on [redacted]. I proceeded to locate a number for [redacted] in Atlanta Ga. I gave them the Tracking number and they had it at the terminal in Conley Ga. They were going to send it to my house later that day. I told them I would be picking it up in conley Ga at their terminal. The charge to deliver it to my home was 80.00
Not only did they not send the transmission to the location where I requested they over charged me 80.00 and haven’t reimbursed me. After all this I had a Transmission Specialist for ** inspect the Transmission before we had it installed. It had been patched with mostly used parts and burned clutches. I have a video of this and voice recordings of them saying they would reimburse me . This transmission is not worth installing and I have paid for the transmission and 430.00 for shipping to get a piece of crap . Not to mention all of the Head aches dealing with these people.Desired Settlement: a complete refund of 1280.00
