Brite Star Cleaners

They lost my winter parka, found is too late (3 months later, after it was replaced), then refused to compensate me even by dropping dry-cleaning fee: I dropped off dry cleaning, including my $500 winter parka, last May. When I went in to get it in July, they could not find it. I went in again multiple times to ask them to find the parka, they could not find it. On one occasion, I insisted so strenuously that they let me go in and look. It did not turn up. I was understanding, and thought perhaps there had been an error on my side. I then replaced the coat - with a new winter parka - worth $350. Two weeks later, Brite Star called and indicated that they'd found my parka. I went in to pick it up and suggested this had caused a problem for me, and cost me $350. They not only refused to compensate me, but charged me for the dry-cleaning (when I said I wouldn't pay, they took the coat away from me). They told me it wasn't lost because it was there the whole time. Owner refused to talk to me. Terrible terrible customer service - and I would worry about losing your clothing. I went there to support a local, family business, but this is terrible, practice, and not supporting the type of community I want to live in.
