I contracted this company due to a small leak from a toilet which was blue coming from the tank. The company did not come to the appointment made the first day. I had to call them and remind them I had an appointment. They still did not come that day, and I had to wait until the next day for them to come. This resulted in two days taken off of work for me. The plumber supposedly fixed the problem for $400.00. Two weeks later there was another, very large leak coming from the tank which was clear in color. The leak was equivalent to a water faucet being left on at a low level. It was much worse than the leak I originally had. I had to put a container underneath the leak and empty it every hour or so.
When I called the company on Friday morning they informed me that they would not be able to come until Monday or Tuesday, leaving me with a toilet leaking large amounts of water everywhere for 3 days. I also would have had a disabled mother living with me and no toilet for 3 days. I had to call another plumber who could come that day.
I would like a refund of the money given to this company, as any repairs made on the toilet were faulty and it was left worse than before they came.
Complaint IDIn regards to the above complaint. The customer called in for return service on Friday, October the 5th around 11:00 a.m. We informed the customer we would not be able to assist immediately and we would be there within 8 working business hours. The customer advised us that they had another toilet that was now not working as well and they were out of service completely. The toilet does have an isolation valve to shut the water in case of a leak so that it can be scheduled for a repair. Unfortunately, we were not able to assist in the new problem leading to the frustration of the customer. The customer was unhappy that we could not make it out on the same day that they called in. We do not guarantee same day service all though we try our best to get back to customers the same day. Do to work volume we are not able to make it back the same day as she called in. We apologize for the inconvenience. We can not issue a refund under these circumstances.Sincerely*** c.e.o

I do not accept this response. I called the company on a Friday, and was told they would not be able to come until a Tuesday. That was three days. Eight working hours from 11:00 on Friday morning would have been 7 that evening. This option was never given. In addition, the plumbing company which did come to fix the toilet *** plumbing was supposed to have repaired ,was appalled at the price I was charged by *** plumbing for an incomplete job. They said the tank had not been completely repaired, and it looked like only one screw had been replaced for $394.00. The new company replaced all parts in the tank for $300.00. The work Scroggin's plumbing completed was not done completely or correctly, and I was overcharged for this poor repair.
The issue with the other toilet was a separate matter, and I am not seeking a refund for any work on that toilet. I continue to ask for a refund of the $394.00 which was payed to this company. They neither did the job correctly, completely, or had any regard for responding in a timely manner to their poor service.
In regards to complaint ***. The client contacted us about a possible call back from a repair we made on the toilet. We informed the client we would address the issue with in 24 hrs and they could shut off the water supply to that toilet and use the other toilet in the home until we could make it out to see them the next day. The client demanded us to come immediately and unfortunately we were assisting other clients and could not assist right away. We try to get to our clients as soon as possible with emergencies top priority. With the use of an additional toilet we did not feel this was a true emergency. True emergencies would consist of burst water pipes or constant sewage flooding a home. We felt under the circumstance 24 hour time frame was sufficient. We try to get to even less urgent situations like this on as soon as possible. The day of this happened did not allow for immediate assistance. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

This statement is simply not true. I told Mr. that the other toilet in the home was not working either. In addition, I had a disabled mother at home who needed her own equipped restroom. Mr. never offered to come out the next day. It was 72 hours until he said he would come to the house. His repairs were faulty and he refused to honor any type of commitment to the issue. I would never use this company again. They made no effort to resolve the issue and their work was poor.
I had a recurring sewer backup in my downstairs washroom. Another plumber had originally come out and ‘cleaned’ the line, found nothing, and told me it must just be a fluke. After it happened again I knew there must be a bigger problem and called other area plumbing companies. I reached out on a Thursday afternoon and no one could even come out until the next week! Then I called Brian Scroggins Plumbing. They were there the very next morning! These guys are prompt. The technician Mike was extremely professional, honest, and knowledgeable. He immediately identified the problem and offered an extremely competitive price for the solution. He didn’t try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn’t need, and he thoroughly explained the issue and how he was going to fix it. He is a very down-to-Earth guy that puts the customer first. Within just a couple of hours, my sewer line was as good as new. These guys are great people doing excellent work. I would highly recommend Brian Scroggins Plumbing (and especially Mike) for all of your plumbing needs!
I had a water leak with water around base upon which furnace/air handler sits and with water around the water heater close to the base; unable to determine whether water was from AC or water heater.
An Internet search for a company able to work with both yielded a local company, which number when called was diverted to ***, whose representative said that they had no providers listed for my zip code and offered to send a list of providers, all of whom advertised as water heater repair companies. I called Mr., informed him of my problem and he said that he could help. He did send an employee to whom I explained my problem and showed him the water around both the base for the furnace/air handler and the water heater, assuming that a person experienced in these areas could determine which was leaking. He determined that it was the water heater, quoted what I thought was a rather high price for the replacement; but to which I agreed, having a already taken a day off from work and needing the work done. I then waited for the water to evaporate, which it did not do; rather continuing to leak. I then called the company who installed the AC/furnace who determined that there was a clog in drain of the AC system. This was managed and solved the problem. I called Mr., explained what had solved the problem when installing a new water heater at high cost had not and asked for an adjustment in that price. He denied that request; hence my complaint.
Company said that he spoke with the customer and is offering a refund.
I contracted *** Scroggins to do a bathroom demolition and remodel. He completed the work he was contracted to do however during the work, *** or one of his employees left a water valve shut off on and it leaked for days resulting in a $700.00 water bill. There are two water shut off valves in our home in the basement one to the main house and one to an old pool / pool house that has since been closed up. We were not aware of the problem until we went outside to check the pool house for other reasons and there was a foot of standing water in the pool house.
We knew that the water line leaked due to the recent inspection (we just purchased the home) but I didnt know the extent of the leak or how many days it ran until we received our water bill.
To whom it may concern, In regards to the accuation above. Neither myself nor any of my employees turned the old valve going to the old pool house on at anytime during any of our visits to this residence. I asked each of my employees and they said they did not turn on the valve. We do not touch old turn style gate valves due to the fact that they can start leaking when turning on and off, or the stem on the valves can break leaving them in the on or off position. The customer noted in her statement above that she was aware of a leak in the pool house via the home inspection but did not notice the water in her pool house until her first water bill. A period of time in which anyone could have turned the valve on. The old gate valve at that time should have been labeled as "Do not turn on" or "broken". The valve could/should of also been capped off or replaced and labeled prior to any work being done on the home. We were not maid aware of any such leak prior to our work at the home. The home inspector was the last know person to touch the valve leading to an outside pool house where the leak is. There are many possibilities, but to accused me or my guys beyond a reasonable doubt is absurb. My guess would be the old gate valve was either not properly shut off or broken. The old gate valve appeared to be an original vale approximately 50 to 60 years old. It is possible that when the home inspector turned the valve off if did not shut off all the way. There were numerous people working in the home. There are multiple possibilities of what could have happened. This could have been prevented if the valve was labeled or homeowner would have told contractor to remove or replaced the valve prior to the upstairs remodel. The leak in question mind you was in an exterior building in which no one would know about unless made aware of. Bottom line we did not turn the valve on.
