Brennan Contracting

Brennan states they would completely refinish the cabinets in a professional manner and they would look like new. We gave Brennan a 50% deposit on 1.14.2020 and the job was due to begin on 1.20.2020 and be completed on 1.22.2020. After Brennan removed our cabinet doors and drawers, they prepped our kitchen and began priming and painting the base cabinets. Once completed, they ripped the tape off of our walls and the paint was removed down to the drywall, there was overspray on our backsplash, walls, and floor and the base cabinets paint quality was sub par as many sections were missing paint and 16 of 26 under cabinet lights were blown. In addition there were gaps from the top of the cabinets to under the soffit visible that were not visible before. We demanded Craig review the poor quality work, his response “it is what it is” when you go from dark to light you see gaps. I advised Craig we were deceived, if he had told us that, we never would have hired him. He said he’ll disclose going forward, but we have to live with it and Thanked is for “educating” him. The job was continually delayed until 1.25.2020. Craig continuously admitted to us that his staff is subpar and he had equipment issues. Recd a call on 1.25.2020 at 8am from Herb stating he can’t deliver and install cabinets and drawers due to torrential rain and they would be ruined. Received text from Herb at 9am to disregard message, they will be there. Herb arrived and every door and drawer was ruined and had to be returned. Herb said Craig forced them to deliver and when I spoke with Craig he admitted he had them deliver. Job delayed to resand and repaint until 1.29.2020. Doors and drawers all have paint flaws, bubbles, drip marks, human hair embedded in paint, debris in paint, overspray in drawers and uneven paint. Also all handles were installed uneven, one cabinet was drilled. All doors and drawers need to be replaced or removed, sanded, holes filled and repainted. Doors installed upside down.
