I bought a Rossi R 92 in 44 mag. with 24 inch barrel. Took it to the range with a box of Federal 240 grain flat nose bullets and some reloads loaded with IMR 4227 at 22 grains with a cast Lee 214 grain bullet. First two rounds I fired from this rifle were Federal commercial factory ammo. Both cases on ejection showed bulges indicating a head spacing problem or an over sized chamber. I then double checked the chamber with a minimum loaded 214 grain cast bullet these two cases were also Bulged. Re turned the rifle to Rossi for repair they notified me that the barrel was faulty and a new barrel was ordered the expected repair time was their standard six weeks. Six months later barrel is still on back order. Talked to [redacted] Supervisor and ask her to call BrazTech for an E.T.A. on when the barrel might be received by [redacted] She informed me she could not, nor would she make the call . Asked her to have her manager do it .Again she refused. My question for them is why a six month wait for a barrel? This to me is pretty lousy Customer Service. I own a PT (@ AF 9mm and a R92 in 38/357. Their will not be any more Taurus products in my house as long as service like this is allowed to continue.
