Purchased a Jeep Wrangler on 11/22/2014, for my son who travels hours one way to collegeRight after purchasing, notice that there was not a jack, owners manual or extra keyI asked xxxxx the salesman if he could request these items from the previous ownerI never received a call back On first trip back to school, the rear track bar came off making it un-drivable and very dangerousThis could have easily caused an accident The rear track bar had to be repaired at town near his school Had additional repairs that were neededI called dealer and spoke to a manager and told him about the situationsHe seemed unconcernedI asked him to tell the salesman to call me backI never heard from anyoneSince receiving no response, I sent son to Jeep dealer while on spring break to get necessary repairs doneI spent over $in additional repairs (oil leak, water pump, front track bar, oil pan gasket and rear seal gasket)Took receipt to xxxxx and asked if they were willing to help any on this billxxxxx, the sales person said he would check with general manager and get back with meAfter another week of not hearing back, I called backxxxxx said he was sorry, he got busy and forgot to call meHe said since we took it to another dealer, they refused to help with any repairsI know it was not a brand new vehicle but it was $20k and didn't expect these kinds of problemsWould not recommend Dealer to anyone
Very smooth process until I actually got the car homeI drove over two hours from [redacted] to purchase a Caliber SRTthat seemed to be in great shapeI have two small boys at home so I was a bit rushed, but the car SEEMED to be in good shape, I mean, it only had 44K on the odometerOnce I returned home the problems beganThe first problem came up when I tried to fill the car up at the gas stationThe valve in the gas tank is broken so you cannot put more than a half gallon in at a timeI have worked in the automotive industry for many years and have always filled up my customer's tanks upon a purchase, so I would think this would have been caughtSummary - Car needs an $gas tankThe car also has a loud whining sound at the bottom of the engineI could not figure out the noise and took it to a dealership and found out that the timing chain is hitting the guides and if it breaks it will ruin the entire engine - that's another $bill that I will have to deal withWhile the car was on the lift at that same dealer, they noticed the ball joints are completely shot and will need replacing as wellI called and emailed the dealership about these issues since I have had the car less than three weeks, and have never heard from themIt is painfully obvious that no one inspected this car, and if they did, I would like to have some of whatever they are onI thought I was buying a reliable car and ended up with a yard ornament until I can muster up $to pay for the problems that should have been fixed by a so called "reputable dealership
