To who it may concern,The customer came into RI.P. Carpets looking to purchase carpet an vinyl flooring. We showed them the stock items we have to offer. She sound something she liked so we went ahead an had my draftsman go measure the place. There was a $45 charge to...
get the draftsman out there that we refunded on her invoice. After having the place measured an figured out we called with the price an the stock carpet was too expensive. So they decided to come back to the store an choose something else. They returned to the showroom, but didn’t find anything that they liked. They called BLP an asked if we carried the piece of carpet they sound else where, an we did so they decided to return to see the sample. The carpet piece was a [redacted] Carpet made by [redacted]. On April 16, 2014 She returned to BLP an confirmed that was the carpet she wanted, an put down a deposit of $2,870.00 (50%). The deposit was to get the material ordered cause this wasn’t a normally stockcd item special order only. Once we received the material we scheduled an installation date of April 23, 2014 an April 25, 2014. On the 25th the job was complete with the [redacted] carpet installed on all 3 levels, an [redacted] Vinyl in the bathrooms an half of the basement. Once the job was completed they signed the contract stating the job was completed to their satisfaction using the material they picked. And thal same day they dropped a check off for the 50% balance of $2,871.24. The following week they called complaining about the carpet. The consumer claims the carpeting is defective because of these issues. Below I will explain each one of her problems in detail:
