4/9/Customer drops off car, customer did not confirm appointment so parts were ordered that day
4/11/Contacted insurance, let them know there was more damage than what was written on the estimate
4/13/Insurance adjuster *** *** called back to let us know that he was going to look into the claim, that it didn't look like the damage was there beforeHe said to hold off on repairs until he got back to usHe also stated that he might want to schedule someone to come out to re-inspect
**Somewhere between 4/and 4/customer comes in to check in on carHe was taken to the paint booth, car was covered in plastic, except for panels that were being paintedCustomer was happy about repairs
4/19/Appraisal Services(Professional Claims) were called to come to the shop to re-inspect car
4/20/Appraiser came out to shop and took additional photos, he was the original appraiser on the claim and he stated that none of the additional damage was there during the initial appraisal
4/24/Received email from *** *** in the investigation claims department at MapFre, she attached all the original photos without the additional damage and stated that the additional damage was denied
4/28/Customer come in on a Saturday and goes over the car with our technician and customer states that the car looks great
4/30/Customer stops by with a friend and girlfriend to look at the vehicle againHe was taken to the vehicleAt that point is when he asks why we "undid" the repairsThe same technician was brought over to discuss the customers concern, he was told the repairs he thought was repaired, was notHis girlfriend even stated that maybe he got the left and right panels mixed upCustomer stated he wanted an estimate for the additional damage since insurance wasn't going to cover it and that he was going to sue the insurance companyCustomer thanked us for our help
5/2/Brackets were needed so a special order was placed through BMWTold customer we were just waiting for the brackets and repairs would be completedWe received both brackets by 5/
**Customers girlfriend called and stated that he only had half of the $deductible
5/7/The battery in the car was no good so we took it upon ourselves to replace the battery at no extra charge to the customer, we do this because we value our customers and want to take care of themThe car has been ready for pick up, but the customer has only paid for $of the $deductible
** Attached is the approved estimate on the repairs, the original photos from the first appraisal, the workorder the customer signed, the estimate of the unrelated damages totaling $5,358.49(work that was not done, we would never waste time or money to repair then undo repairs)that was not approved, and the approves estimate totaling $2,832.25(repairs that were approved and completed)
In response to this complaint, I want to say that this customer is upset due to us holding onto his vehicle until he pays his $deductible in fullInsurance wrote an estimate for the claim, and we ONLY do the repairs that insurance approvesInsurance came out to re-inspect the vehicle since
there was more damage on the vehicle than what was on the estimateWe tried to help this customer out by getting the damage covered under the same claimInsurance stated that the additional damage was NOT part of the claimWe never "undid" the repairs, that is not how we run our business, it's not even possible to undo the repairs he is claiming in a dayInsurance sent us photos proving that the additional damage happened after the claim was opened, so he was told that he needed to file a new claim to get the rest of the damage repairedAgain, we only do repairs on vehicles that insurance approves
I am rejecting this response because:
All this is true like I said the work was done I have another eye witness stating that they did do the work that wasnt appoved I know I saw panels completed and they were waiting for appoval for the 4th panel the lady said it to me directly and my witness says the same can u please look into there cameras they did the work I was happy the first time the second time I went I was very upsetThey are not legit they are snakes and con artist please look into this shop they are not fair
