I contracted Boccia to work on the exterior of my house because of their pristine reviews online from several web sites and their length of time in business.
After my experience with Boccia, and specifically "Vincent Boccia" (their engineer) - I will never hire a company based solely on online reviews ever again. I was careless and didnt ask for references or look at prior projects in person.
They did a bad job and did not finish the job. They broke our contract by using the wrong materials and not following the scope of work and when I complained to them, they walked off the job and never came back. They never returned my phone calls or my emails. It has been more than 3 months at this time, still havent heard from Vincent Boccia, they left my family with no leaders or gutters on our house in time for winter.
Based on my personal experience with this company and the poor quality of the job (looks like a bandaid fix- all the original cracks are still visible) and I need to find someone else to do the same job I hired and already paid Boccia to complete.
Boccia estimator prepared an estimate proposal that included a Lump sum, with no details on parts of the work, labor cost or materials. I requested a quote that included a price breakdown before signing a contract with this company. The estimator refused to provide a price breakdown and informed me that the company is no longer interested in quoting my project. When I called the office complaining about it I was told that that they will not accept this job and advised me that I should look for a different contractor????? (Great advise! I would not be able to figure this out on my own). When I asked if I was just singled out because I asked for a price breakdown, I got no answer.
Since the company refused to give me a price breakdown on their estimated proposal and refused to accept my job immediately after I asked for a price breakdown, I feel that maybe the lump sum proposal was not honest?
Based on my experience I would not recommend this company.
I am very disappointed with this "reputable" company.
