I had brand new weatherstripping installed and the car leaks worse than it did beforehand.
My 85' Corvette was dropped off to Bob's Seat Covers II on July 6, it had an appointment for the following day have my newly purchased weather stripping from Corvette Mods installed. I was quoted over the phone $65 per hour and told by Bob that it should only take 3 to 4 hours to install. I was contacted on July 8 by Chris and told my car was finished. I was informed it took a total of 9 hours to install. I picked up my car paid for the service with my Debit card and left. On July 10 it rained and my car had puddles in both seats and both floor boards at least 1/2" deep. I reached out to Chris and told him what happened. Chris stated "old cars leak" but bring it over and they would run a water hose over it to check for leaks; they don't do that before it leaves the shop. My husband drove the car over that day, they refused to look at it. The car was taken to a body shop for a second opinion where it was discovered some of the seals were torn and glue was failing. I've tried calling and e- mailing Bob's Seat Covers II with no response.
I would like to seek a refund of the services and of the parts they used and damaged.

I was never told that replacing the weather stripping wouldn't fix my problem, I never told them I had a problem. I was never told during the installation that my window was loose and moved side to side. The Dealership I took it to afterwards said my window was fine. Replacing 35 year old weather stripping should never cause the leaks to be worse. Bob's Seat Covers never called me to OK the excessive time frame either. They assumed I would be OK with paying 9 hours of labor when I was only quoted 4 hours at most. The adhesive they used is failing and my rear glass seal is torn from installation.
