BMS Cat - Nashville

I called BMS CAT to help with a mold issue I had encountered in my crawl space. *** wanted almost $3,000 for a job that BMS CAT handled the day after I called for a fraction of the price. Tim Harris and his technicians were polite, prompt, respectful and did a great job eliminating the mold.

I understand this location is under new management - kudos to Tim and his team for the work they performed. THANK YOU BMS CAT!

This company is an absolute disaster. Their representative was at our house as we watched it burn. He told us all about what BMS could do for us in the restoration of our historic house that suffered about a 50% loss. We had high hopes for them in the beginning. They are good with the initial clean up and cleaning fabric furniture, but many of our favorite antique belongings came back damaged and even ruined. The reconstruction portion and the interior painting was a disaster. While the roofing subcontractor, plaster subcontractor, flooring subcontractor, wall paper subcontractor all did good work, the finish carpentry was mediocre at best with crooked trim, already buckling woodwork, and bad trim joints. They also replaced our wood trim on our historic home with MDF, just to save a dime. The painters painted dirt into our trim. The vinyl siding work was poor quality, drooping and crooked as well...No construction deadlines were ever met. Our house was left unsecured for months, open to the elements, rain and animal excrement. By that time August 2017, we had had enough and my wife had to contact the president of the company Tom H at their headquarters in Austin Texas. Our house fire was 12/18/16, and we were moved in to an unfinished house 01/31/18, with our cleaned belongings placed in construction debris and dirt. Very little was cleaned up from the construction. They just dumped us into our house while the painters were painting. The carpenters were still working, putting our cleaned belongings in our garage that had never been cleaned up from all of the drywall dust, just to meet their final deadline given them by *** Insurance. They did attempt to make things right, and even compensated us for the damage to our property or the lack of insulating a few of the walls, and extra work we had to get done. But after all of the frustration, and mental anguish of this experience, all we wanted was them to get off our property and out of our lives. During the reconstruction they would even try to shift the blame of their ineptness, or lack of getting things done on us, like we were responsible. We have quite the collection of pictures and videos to back up our claims....If they come on your property, tell them to leave quickly and hire another company or subcontract it our yourself. An uneducated layman is a better project manager than the ones they provide. It's a shame I have to give them a 1 star rating because they are an F minus. I'm sure none of the "warranties" on their work will ever be honored. I will gladly back up any of my claims with pictures and videos. We have plenty. I'm sure a company representative will answer this review with some kind of politically correct, apologetic statement, and attempt to "reach out" to me, or give me a reach around.... gag me with a spoon; it's just another one of their smoke enemas that I'm not in the mood or have the stomach for. I just hope and pray to God that this company never treats families that have lost loved ones in a fire the way we were treated. I'm just very thankful no lives were lost in mine. But it's THIER JOB to make things right. It's what they advertise and get paid to do. "Like it never even happened," but they aren't ***; probably be better off hiring them.
