BlueBird was hired to provide home care services for 4 hours once a week. On December 16, 2019 the agency drafted $200.81 from my checking account for 8.75 hours. The home care aide only worked 4 hours. It took over a month to get this straightened out as if they take the money out, they have no way of crediting it back. They were just going to let a new person come out and work the credit off that way but I stopped all services until this was resolved.
Alicia Seal was informed by my daughter in writing that they were no longer to draft money from my checking account and that when services were to re-start, I would provide a credit card. I never re-started the services after they finally mailed the check for what was owed. My granddaughter is staying with me so it was not necessary to have their services restarted until she leaves.
My daughter just happened to look at my checking account and found that BlueBird had drafted $36.33 on January 22, 2020 and $78.42 on January 28, 2020. These are odd amounts as the service is $22.95 per hour. No services have been provided the whole month of January but they claim they sent someone out. My daughter was here on January 21 and my granddaughter has been living here and no one has been to the house. I was not in a hurry to have them restart because the last person broke the knob off the dryer.
I am wanting to file a complaint because if they are doing this to me, there may be some other senior citizens my age that this is being done to. I still have not gotten the money back from those 2 automatic drafts.
Because they have done this twice, my bank is advising me to close my account which now affects when I get my social security payment if I don't do this just right.

Refund The money that was drafted off for the 2 days in January, 2020 needs to be returned.
Money was refunded.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The money was refunded but this complaint needs to stay for other consumers to see. Within a month, Bluebird took money from this account twice that was not due to them. Since they work with mostly seniors, people need to be aware of that this happened.
