Blue Haven pool purchased and installed is basically falling apart. Plaster is peeling off and company does not stand behind product
My wife and I spent years dreaming of having a pool in our backyard, financed one one from Blue Haven Pools and are still paying for it now. a mere 30 plus thousand dollar purchase. Beginning in early 2017, many complaints were made to staff at Blue haven all the way up to late 2018 when I finally got a hold of the owner. She put me off til today(Jan. 21, 2019) and basically told me that we dint test the pool enough and that there was only a 1 year warranty on the plaster. OMG-who would ever think there is a possibility that you would have to redo the plaster on your pool after 1 year? Really...We had pool tested by her records, 15 times over the 4 year period and never once did anyone ever say our chemicals were ever a problem. Now I realize that we have just been victimized by a owner of a company that doesn't understand what the quality of product to a consumer means, but I must warn others so that it doesn't happen to them. This is a disaster for us and it will not go un-noticed with our community. We have purchased all of our chemicals and accessories from this company and have been loyal to them for all of service work to then have the pool fall apart without standing behind their product. unbelievable!
I spoke to the owner this morning and she was direct that they are not standing behind the product. I don't feel like this lady gives a hoot about us as she knows the cost and would have to eat it just like we are apparently going to, but the right thing to do, is to to stand behind your product! i will be going on Facebook, media, local community spreading the word of this misfortune to make sure this doesn't happen to more people like us!!!!!
I have pictures Mrs *** sent us in July of 2018 showing us the issues in there pool - per her conversation with my service dept. the pitting happen over night after adding chemical our retail dept. told her to add at the last water sample tested in May 2018. In January Mr. wrote me a note on an invoice he was paying asking me to give him a call, which I did after receiving the note.
Mr *** informed me of the issues he was having with his pool and that they had start approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years prior. After speaking with Mr., I scheduled my construction supervisor to go look at the pool.
According to him the pitting looks like what happens to plaster due to chemical imbalance over an extended time frame. I returned call to Mr *** to inform him of our findings, he stated he had added whatever we advised when they came in to have water tested. I told him I would have to pull our testing records and would get back with him. Two days later I called and explained to him that in first two years they had only tested their water 10 times and they only twice in 2017 and only once in 2018. pH in pool water changes daily, mainly with the weather but also bather loads, as well as other various circumstances. I understand Mr *** being upset about only having a one year plaster warranty, if he will look at the back of his contract copy it states in the first paragraph that he has a one year warranty, and he also signed a plaster agreement which also states he has a one year warranty. Mr ***'s pool was completed in July of 2014. Mr *** stated as to when the pitting started being 1 1/2 to 2 years prior which still was after his one year warranty.

First let me say that no one making this kind of an investment, would ever think that a plaster job on a pool would only last 3-4 years! That's absurd! I've read in several publications, where an average life of plaster done PROPERLY will last over 25 years! Its obvious that Blue Haven doesn't think much of their quality of plaster work for them to hide a 1 yr warranty in there. That must speak loudly about the quality of the work! If we had any idea this would happen, we would never have purchased from them. When you purchase an investment like this, you have NO idea that an issue like this will happen, you are just wanting to get the pool to enjoy it. That being said, the accounts Mrs. has stated are not factually true. One, we were told and trained by her staff to take our own samples and we had taken samples frequently(minimum 1/month) from day 1 and never showed ANY issues. In addition NEVER once did Blue Haven ever tell us that our samples taken to them, were way out of line or endangering the integrity of the pool and needed major adjustments, in fact, the majority of samples taken, did not tell us to do anything, and only a couple of times were we told to make minor adjustments, not to mention that her records of our number of tests with them are not accurately being stated as well. For her to say this happened over a long period of not maintaining the chemicals in the pool is just not factually true! In addition, Blue Havens service has been misstated here as well. We spoke to them about this problem on numerous occasion prior to the dates she listed and it took nearly a year for a rep to visit our pool and check it out. My wife purchased all of our Chlorine tablets from them and made frequent trips there and spoke to them on many occasions about the issues. It wasn't until I stepped in and pressed the owner, did we ever get a response and even then it took over a month for any action. Bottom line is there obviously is a workmanship and quality issue with the installation of the plaster and Blue Haven is hiding behind a warranty and not standing behind the quality of their pool. We have had several people tell us since this happened, that they have experienced the same problems with this company and have had to pay for additional plaster to have it repaired. I also know of at least two folks that have decided not to use them as a result of us speaking out about their stance of not standing behind their product and others chiming in with their common complaints with them. When any company fails to meet the expectations of a customer, the company must stand behind their product and make it right. Until this is done we will continue to speak out so that it does not happen to anyone else!!!! This is plainly, just not right!
Item left for repair was not fixed and *** is refusing to refund money.
My husband left our Polaris 360 with Blue Haven first week in May. It was not moving around the pool, wheels had stopped turning. I called on the 14th of May, to inquire if my husband could pick it up as we live 25 minutes away in Minden, Louisiana. He was going to Bossier for physician appt. I was told the parts did not come in on the truck on Wednesday but it would be there Friday or Monday. I gave my husbands contact information as I work at the VA hospital and cannot take calls. A week went by and my husband called to check on the Polaris and was told they did not know we wanted it repaired and that they had no contact information for us. (they were given that on the 14th by me) He was told at that time the lady that normally repaired the robots had been let go and she did not take down our information and pass *** on. Blue Haven has previously worked (the lady that was fired) on our robot 2 times in the past and we have never had any trouble. *** told my husband that she could get it going but the parts would not be in for a week. My husband picked the robot up on X-XX-XX brought it home (26 miles on way) and it would not move. It had good suction, tail was moving but it would not move, the wheels would not turn. He took it back to Blue Haven the 28th (25 miles),dropped it off, the parts were to be in the next day. My husband picked it back up 6-1-18 and our pool man proceeded to hook it up on 6-6-18 and again good suction, tail moved but wheels would not turn. Previous 2 repairs in the past for the same problem were successful. We are familiar with the problem and needed repairs. The pool man said that we were ripped off that the Polaris robot was still broken and it was the wheels. I called *** myself and reported it was not fixed. She stated "There is no reason the robot is not working." I said the pool man, that use to work for them, reports it is still broken. I told her I wanted my money back and she stated that I would have to give her the parts back. I got very upset and told her that we drove 25 miles 6 times back and forth and that I want the money back which is $80.29. She asked me how I wanted it and I said a check. I did tell her that they were terrible. That we were lied to so many times and that we had never been treated as such by Blue Haven before and that they had even put the pool in years ago without any problems. (New General mgr now which is ***)I told her I was going to report them to Revdex.com and who ever I could, and she said since I was being rude she was not going to give our money back for repairs not made. She hung up on me.
I want my money mail to us at *** Camp Road, *** LA XXXXX.

customer was told initially that it would be approx 3 weeks to have it repaired when they called to see about bringing it in. *** examined the cleaner when it came in and asked the retail clerk to contact the customer about what cost of repair parts would be. Before the parts came in the clerk was relived of her job, there was no tag on cleaner with name or number so the customer could not be contacted. Mr called in and *** explained to him what had happened - when parts were received there was one part that had not been ordered - explained to customer she would at that time order it and would try to get cleaner to work without that part - customer picked it up and it did not work. she told them she would let them know when the part would be in - the next day Mr brought the cleaner back in - as soon as part was received it was replaced and they came to pick cleaner back up - when Mrs called to let me know the cleaner was still not working *** told here everything in the cleaner had been changed out so there was no reason for the cleaner should not work. Blue Haven is not in the habit of ripping anyone off - I do not know who they pool guy is but he is for sure wrong on with that statement. *** has been here 13 years and does not charge customers for her time only for parts used, when Mrs called she was asked to please stop yelling - we understand the cleaner still does not work, 9 will gladly drive to minden to try to figure out why it does not work. As for the customers money - a US Postal Service money order was mailed out on Friday June 15, 2018 in the amount of $ 130.00. I was mailed prior to us receiving this letter of complaint. We at Blue Haven do not like to have unhappy customers - Please let me know if you would like for me to come out and try to figure out why the cleaner does not work.

I do not want to do business with them.I will take our business elsewhere. That is sad too. We ha e had our home and pool for since 2007 and have always used them and to be treated this way was a shame. I am a nurse and if I had treated them as patients as we had been treated as customers, the month of May, I would have been fired. It is X-XX-XX Our mail has ran and no refund has arrived. It takes 1-2 days for my mom's mowing man to get his money from Minden to Bossier so I feel this was another lie. I will take as a lesson learned. I will tell others. We have friends that are pool owners. All they had to do was hook it up and see it did not work. That is why we were always told to send our hoses. So I know it was not checked to see if it was working.
