Here are the wise words from my very trusted mechanic:
"Consequential damage" is a loop hole they're using to get out of associated damage caused by overheating.
That's like them saying in the event of an accident we'll repair the body damage but not paying for replacement airbags as that a consequence of the damage incurred.
I hate warranty companies their all a con.
Long and the short of it is that they've washed their hands of it.
They've no idea what has caused the fan to fail but assumed it's the fan rather than any other of the half a dozen components that are likely to fail.
Review: I went in to Blue Chip to buy a reliable vehicle for my family. I had and paid for the vehicle for a year, and then decided I was going to trade it in on another vehicle. I went in and provided the VIN number to the dealership I was purchasing the new vehicle from. I was then and only then told that the 2003 Ford Explorer that I purchased from Blue Chip, had a rebuilt title. It had been severley wrecked. When I was preparing to finance this vehicle I was told that I could finance with a bank. Until the last moment they decided to do in house financing. They gave me no reason for this. Just stated this is what they were doing to get us in the vehicle. I saved up my hard earned money for months to put a down payment on this car. And worked my butt off to pay for it monthly. I called and complained and was hung up on. I left the vehicle in my yard until they came and took it. My point here is, is that you can legally NOT FINANCE A REBUILT TITLE VEHICLE! They did this anyway, AND didn't disclose the rebuilt status. Evidently this car sustained significant frame damage. My family could have been killed! This car never got an inspection and we will be looking into hiring a lawyer for legal action unless this is settled.Desired Settlement: I would like my down payment back. There needs to be some sort of settlement or we can let the lawyers settle it out for us.
