Review: In May 2014, H & H Asphalt paved my residential driveway. Shortly afterwards, within 2 weeks, it began to break apart and crumble due to the material being cold when it was initially laid down. Mr. [redacted], owner, assured us that he would come out and fix the issue by scraping off the top layer and re-paving it with new material and sealing it. The driveway also was not sloped properly when it was laid down because it holds a significant amount of water close to our house right where we park our cars. Every time it rains, the water collects there and we step out into 3-4" of water. His solution was to cut a trench into the new driveway and let it drain into a puddle by the front walkway of our house. This is not acceptable. Two other companies agree that it needs to be re-sloped. It has been almost a year and Mr. [redacted] has not been out to correct either of these issues, despite numerous calls and assurances that he will be out "tomorrow" or "next week". We've had 2 estimates and they both agree that this job now needs to be completely redone because the driveway has broken down and was never sealed. Shoddy workmanship. Poor service. No response. Never hire this company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for what I paid. At this point, I don't want to deal with this man anymore. The work he did for us was not good. He has promised he would come back to fix these issues more than 10 times and never been out to do so. We are exhausted with Mr. [redacted]. Our next step is small claims court.

Review: H & H Asphalt & Paving laid down an asphalt driveway with a one year warrenty on our property in August 2011. Before the year was up, the driveway cracked in several places and in one substantial area, it sunk below ground level. After several attempts at calling and trying to set up meetings, Walter Holmes met us to view the problems. He said no problem to our requests for repair, but crew never showed up. We tried three times to set something up, but were stood up every time. Walter did not answer any more of our phone calls after this, though we tried to reach him several times. We have records of all attempted calls; completed ones as well as unanswered ones.Desired Settlement: We want all damaged asphalt removed and base beneath fortified to prevent future failures. We want roots removed from site. We want complete driveway overlaid with hot asphalt to industry standards (2" thick). We want drainage improved - 4-6" pipes installed under driveway in 3 locations (we supply pipe). We want asphalt sealer and hardener reapplied after installation.
