As mentioned in the customer's complaint, the coat was purchased on 10/26/13. The first time we heard that there was an issue with the lining of the coat was when the customer came in during the last week of February, 2014. At that time, she demanded a full refund, despite having the coat in her possession for 4 months. As a consignment store selling apparel, coats, etc. that in many cases are decades old, we are not in a position to offer refunds/repairs on items that have been in customers' possession for 4 months. Respectfully,[redacted]Blast Consignment1936 S. Review: In January of 2014, I consigned a large quantity of high end items with Blast Consignment. From that time until now I have received a meager check of approximately $36.00. They have sold other items but have not sent the requested monies; their excuse was that perhaps their new person didn't know what they were doing or someone bounced a check and were looking into my funds. I returned to Blast in July 2014 to pick up my items as I no longer trusted Blast Consignment. There were several items that I could not locate in the store and neither could the owner [redacted]. These are very high end expensive items. A Stella McCartney strapless dress, an Yves Saint Laurent handbag, 2 free people tunics, etc. One of the items I picked up in July had clearly been worn and there was a huge beverage stain on the front. The dress is un-wearable. I have called [redacted] several times asking about my account, and I always get the same answer, "Can I call you back, we're really swamped here". I believe their business practices are unethical.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive the balance of my items sold and my items that they cannot find. The Stella McCartney dress alone is worth $1,500. I just want what is mine.

Review: I purchased a vintage fur coat from Blast Consignment in late October that was said to be in perfect condition by the salesperson. After one wear of only a few hours, the lining ripped out and promptly fell apart, rendering the garment unwearable. I returned to the store asking that the owner repair the coat for me, as I did not buy the item under the impression that I would have to pay equal or more money to fix it as it originally cost. I was rudely rebuffed and told that the lining falls out of all vintage furs, and one buys a vintage fur under the tacit understanding that one will have to pay more money to redo the lining, even when the lining is perfectly intact on the date of purchase. I had no such understanding and was not told as much. Had I been made aware of this "commonly known" fact, I would not have bought the fur in the first place. The only tacit understanding in play here is that between a customer and salesperson: when you buy a garment of clothing, it will stay in the same condition as when you bought it for a reasonable amount of time, not fall apart after you wear it for a few hours. I simply desire the fur to be repaired so that it is wearable again, as it was when I first bought it.Desired Settlement: I would like blast consignment to have the coat repaired / the lining mended, so that the coat is intact and in good, wearable condition as it originally was.
