During the first week of June the contractor (Michael - I don't know his last name, perhaps [redacted] came to my house and put a base and asphalt in my driveway. Previously I had a gravel driveway. He did a driveway for a neighbor (who had introduced me to Michael.) he never came back to inspect his work. We parked our cars in the driveway after 10 days after calling him and making sure that is OK. Immediately, depressions and potholes (deep enough to hold water) appeared. Cracks began to appear too and soon plants start growing from the cracks. My wife is handicapped; she fell on the pavement several times because of its unevenness. We contacted him several time to come and fix it. He said, he will come but did not. Last time he hung up the phone on me. He also said that many other customers of him have similar complaints. Either he doesn't know what he is doing or his material is defective. Warning: he can be rude.Product_Or_Service: AsphaltDesired SettlementWe do not want to punish him; we want our driveway fixed. We don't want just patches but a redo. Furthermore, we want a written warranty from him for a period of two years so that if a defect pops up again, he will fix it. This is not unreasonable; asphalts last at least 5 years before they need repairs. I am asking for only two years. I have to go to claims court if he doesn't respond.
