Review: I purchased a vehicle from Blackshire Motors and was approved through [redacted] Financials. A week after driving off the lot, I get a call from Blackshire motors stating the bank disapproved my loan and I need to bring the car there right that second. Upon arrival my car was taken back and I was told that I am not entitled to my down payment back for some reason. I have copies of my contract that I was told that I had to give to them but failed to do so. The financial manager stated "I have to give him my copy of the contract for him to shred because it is no longer valid". When he said that to me I was alarmed and decided that something sketchy was going on here.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my down payment

Review: This letter is to register an official complaint regarding the service for Blackshire Motors and [redacted] Financial. On July 3, 2014, I purchased a 2006 Volvo XC90 AWD. On the early morning of July 17 the vehicle in question became undrivable. The vehicle was towed with the vehicles warranty road side assistance back to Blackshire Motors; it was received on Saturday, July 19, 2014. On Monday, July 21, 2014 I spoke with the finance manager, [redacted] who informed me that the vehicle’s alternator need to be replaced and it should be fixed approximately Tuesday, July 22, 2014. I called [redacted] on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 and was informed that the repairs had not been completed. I was not given a specific reason. I have contacted [redacted] every day since with no resolution about repairs or replacing with another vehicle. I also talked to Tabitha at [redacted] Financial about the vehicle being undrivable; she suggested that I work the dealership regarding attempting to get the car fixed or a possible replacement vehicle. My phone conversations began with her on Monday, July 21, 2014. On Thursday, July 31, 2014, I was informed by [redacted] that I would be offered another car however; it would require another down payment. At this point I am extremely distressed regarding the time frame it took for a resolution and the miscommunication between me the consumer and the dealership and finance company. In addition, when the vehicle was purchased the ABS service light and other braking system lights were on and the promise that it would be serviced and repaired was also not fulfilled. The resolution I am asking for my initial down payment of 1000.00 be returned. I wish to no longer pursue a business transaction. During this time, I have been without transportation causing me to miss work assignments and facilitate other means to travel.Desired Settlement: As the car was not able to fixed and I still have not been made aware of the mechanical problem of the car, I would like my down payment of 1000.00 returned to me. THe contract between [redacted] and myself was vacated and Blackshire Motors is still in custody of the vehicle and its current location is still the mechanic's shop.

[redacted] contacted the bank saying he no longer wanted the vehicle telling them he wasn't going to pay for it.The bank contacted us to see if there was anything we could do to assist them with [redacted]. We advised the bank that we would take the vehicle back and they could terminate the loan. [redacted] had the vehicle for 14 days in which he put 1980 miles on the vehicle. At the time of the purchase, [redacted] was supposed to provide signed documents to show proof his previous car was paid off. As of today's date, [redacted] has failed to provide these documents. Enclosed is a copy of the documents that [redacted] signed saying that if he failed to provide the documents the bank requested he would have to return the vehicle and would be charged $75.00 per day and 15 cents a mile. [redacted] owes the dealership $1374.00 in addition to his down payment.
