On September 11 2017 emailed General Manager - *** regarding the complimentrary stay.
When I reached out to *** in November to attempt to book our stay for the end of December I was unable to get in contact with him. I sent him emails weekly along with leaving voicemails. He simply was not responding. I then began including the reception team into the emails as I had no idea if he was away from the business or even with the business.
He still did not respond, a month later I was still attempting to touch base and nothing. I finally contacted reservations At the Resort and they suggested they book a room for us and would place this on hold for *** to approve. Nothing. I received a missed call from *** and when I attempted to call back I was sent to his voicemail. I had 3 weeks until the date we hope to visit so I began sending 2-3 emails a week along with 2 voicemails a week.
On Dec 20th he sent me an email apologizing for not getting back to me sooner as he has been away quite often over the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, my reservation was taken off of hold and they were booked during the time that I requested a stay. With a discounted room there always have "Black Out" dates to consider as well. The reservation office is not at their location and situated in Victoria and did not have access to me directly being at a different location.
Again, he apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused for any plans I had been considering over the holidays. The Black Rock will be closed for business from January 2nd to January 20th and he would be on vacation from December 22nd until January 8th and will get in touch with me immediately upon my return.
I had I follow up with yet another email to him asking for a solution and if he could kindly send out a gift card to avoid further disappointments with booking like the above.

I have sent off a letter to *** in order to resolve the issues mentioned and believe everything has been addressed.

I do not feel 1 night stay refunded is fair, this is not what he promised originally in his email to us when I first contacted him.
I accept the one night refund and will simply share my experience on online.
