I was in a panicThe [redacted] had hacked my [redacted] computer, installed ransomware and was requiring me to buy [redacted] for $500, remit them to [redacted] and hope they send me the description key to decrypt years of tax files for over tax clients [redacted] walked me through the process over a day period and ultimately all those tax files were decrypted and usable as needed for future yearsNo clients ended up at risk BUT: If I had it to do over again, I would be penny wise, not pound foolish and contract with [redacted] to provide the computer security I had neglected thinking that a double layer of over-the-counter antivirus/malware software was sufficientI later found out that many sheriffs and police departments had also been hacked by similar ransomwarePlease don't put your data at riskCall [redacted] today!!
