This is a cut and paste of the email I sent the owner, Richard This is written notification that my parents and I are not happy with the service we have received from Scott Fence Company Before I made the payment of half the quote, I asked how long it would take to complete the project I was told weekThe quote was for $2933.70, you received payment via credit card on Aug9, of $ This was over half the quoted amount After a few weeks and several phone calls, I was told there were rain delays I was told work would start on Aug14, and no one showed up and called When I called I was told they would start on Augor Again no one showed up or called When I called on the 24, I was told that work would start on the Monday the 29th When I called on the 26th, to confirm that your crew would be here on that Monday, I was told they wouldn't be here till Tuesday I informed you office then that if they weren't here by Tuesday, I would expect a refund Your crew finally showed up on Monday, the to put up the fence posts When I asked them when they would be back, they said tomorrow They did not show up till the Wednesday the 31, and then only put up the rails The next call I got, I think it was Sept1, was saying that Ya'll couldn't get the pickets till Tuesday Today, instead of a phone call, I get this email putting me off for another or days That will put the competition date Sept9, a full month after you received payment This is unacceptable If this fence is not complete by Friday, September 9, I will expect a full refund of our down payment After several excuses and emails the owner got very rude The fence was completed before the deadline The work was good and the workmen were polite, however there is no excuse for the behavior of the owner When I delayed in paying the balance by a week Which I thought was justified for the wait to get the work done The owner then demanded to be paid in cash and threatened to come to my house to collect He is a bully and very unprofessional
On or about 10/26/16, I hired Scott Fence CoTo clear and install a fence at my home in Covington LaTotal invoice for the job was 29,I have paid a total of 14, On 11/17/I got an email stating that the job was completed on 11/16/In the email, Richard B*** the owner of the company, states that the gate still needs to be painted and it will take a couple of weeks to dry out before it can be paintedOn 11/16/I receive a final invoice requesting the full balance due 14,So many things have gone wrongI do not live at the house, but I live hours awayOn 11/16/a family member stopped by there and took pictures of the completed jobThe gate opened to the highway instead of towards the houseThe gate was not built Like it was supposed to beI immediately contacted Richard and discussed all of my issues about the jobNothing that was done is acceptableAfter seeing a picture he immediately took it down and agreed to build the correct gate Ri
