Bigley Electric Company

I hired Bigley Services to re-route the exhaust on my furnace and to install a 5 ft. gas line hookup for a fireplace. The owner, Scott, quoted me "a couple hundred" and seemed very easy to work with. Unfortunately, upon completion of the work, gave me a bill for $640. $300 parts, $300 labor, plus tax. I told him this seemed OK for 2.5 hours of labor, but the parts seemed high, to which he replied "well, the furnace piping and gas connector were expensive". Since he was inside my home, I agreed to pay him with the promise that he would provide an itemized bill of charges. After a week and a half of trying to get a proper invoice from him, he finally admitted that the charges included a $100 parking ticket and the cost of steam cleaning his carpets since he got soot on his clothes. I asked for a refund for the charges not related to the job, and he said he had a family of 4 and didn't care that it wasn't fair. This guy/company are total crooks - stay away at all costs!!
