Big Road

In March 2018 I purchased an electronic logging device or ELD from this company. I owned a horse transportation company and within 30 days of purchasing the ELD I found out that livestock transporters would continue to be exempt from the ELD mandate and could use paper logs instead, which I was using at the time. Within that 30 days, I also contacted big road to let them know of my situation and that I would like to refund the unit. I had opened it but I did not use it or record any logs with it, which they have confirmed that there are no logs on their digital system. The man on the phone back in 2018 when I originally tried to refund the unit, kept telling me that I was receiving "value" from their product and that there was no way they could issue a refund. I kept explaining to him that I did not receive any value because I never used the product to begin with. Their product was completely useless to me! It has sat collecting dust! He did not understand this and kept continuing to repeat himself saying how much value I had received from their product. He did eventually say he would see if there was a way to get a partial refund for the months that I did not use the product, to which I replied, " I haven't used it at all!" When he finally spoke with his superior and got back with me, he confirmed there was no refund. I closed my business shortly thereafter and then in February of 2019 I contacted again with the same refund request. The man gave me an answer the next day, which was also the Same, no refund.
