I rented a scooter from them and it was delivered the day I flew in, the seat was so worn out that the back of the seat made it impossible to sit back and steer at the same time, the scooter ended up doing more harm then good, when I called their office and told them about it no one said anything about a replacement seat or scooter so they picked it up and continues to charge me for the rental, fast forward to after getting home - I called and asked why I had been charged full price for the scooter and every reason under the sun was used as to why, then I was told a manager would contact me and never did, a week later I call back and let the person answering the phone know the situation and was told her manager was on the phone and would call me back.. I'm still waiting on that phone call
Unfortunately, the client didn't call until their trip was over to inform us about the seat situation and then wanted restitution. We tested the seat and it was not broken, but rather the client had pulled it out of socket. All of Big Orange Mobility scooters are less than a year old and are tested before delivery. We only asks that if there is any problems, please let us know and we will take care of it asap. Our phone records show that we tried to reach the client 4 times since they reached out to us with no response.
I used Big orange Mobility five different times for two weeks each between December 2016 and December 2017. The first time they were located outside of the Orlando area and I had to pay a delivery fee, but then they opened an office near Orlando, so that was no longer an issue. They are a small company with a small staff, but I found them to be as responsive as they could be. One time I had an issue with the electric scooter tiller not staying up, and was not able to get a replacement right away because they did not have another scooter for use! The problem was resolved the next day. I even purchased my own electric scooter for use at home through them because I know I can count on their customer support. Not perfect, but very pleasant and reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone to use and would use them again myself as needed. Thank you.
