My wife and I stayed at this hotel in 11/2014. Of all the Best Western experiences we've had this one was by far the worst! The bed sheets were stained, the room safe was broken, and the furniture was dusty, old, and run down. Most disturbing was that we were awakened at 6:45 AM by LOUD banging directly over our room as carpet was being laid! Poor management allowed contractors to begin working way too early, and were then unsympathetic to our complaints about the noise!
The worst part of our experience happened following check out! After filling out two different Best Western surveys I was contacted by the hotel's manager, [redacted]. His email began with "Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay" and ended with "Should you decide to come back to Nashville, PLEASE stay at another hotel!". Best Western solicited my opinions, and then when I told them of our experience that was the response I received! Not one mention of concern or apology! Since our visit, I've seen numerous other reviews of this hotel on [redacted] and [redacted] where customers received the exact same rude response from the same "gentleman"! His poor attitude does not serve that hotel well, and reflects negatively on the entire Best Western chain!
My wife and I have been loyal Best Western customers for years! We travel frequently, and Best Western has always been our first choice when booking a hotel! Following this experience are are rethinking our loyalty to them! Perhaps business is so good in Nashville that [redacted] can "blow off" customers, but we vote with our dollars when we decide where we will stay! It's sad the effect that one person's abrasive actions can have on Best Western's future business! The owners of the Best Western Opryland Suites would be well served to open their eyes and rethink the management of their hotel!
