The pet policy that is in place at the hotel is not the policy that is shown on the website when reserving a room.
I was forced to agree to their pet policy (which is not the advertised policy) upon checking in. There was no option of finding another hotel last minute and this is deceitful manner to run a business. Due to this, I was billed an extra $60 during my stay when the advertised policy clearly states that a maximum of $30 per day will be charged; I was charge $60 per day for my two night stay.
Advertised Policy - "There may be a maximum charge of $30 per day for each room with a pet or multiple pets, or a maximum charge per week of $150. A refundable damage deposit of up to $150 per stay may be required of all guests with a pet."
Policy at Best Western Plus Waterfront Hotel - "I understand that I will be charged $30 per day per pet."
I would like them to follow the pet policy that is on the website which would means that I was overcharged $60. I would like that to be refunded at the minimum, because that is at least what is advertised and I would have been fine with paying at the time of my stay. However, a good number of the hotel staff and customer service team have been unhelpful and quite frankly rude. It would be fair if they were to offer a full refund of all pet fees after this mess.
Regarding complaint 1066453, the business has contacted me and we've settled the matter. They did finally follow the policy they had listed on their website.
I was offerred a room on the top floor, floor 22, for booking directly with the hotel, not using *** I paid more for this room than what I would have paid on ***
I was given a room on the 3rd floor.
A fair hotel would refund me the difference. That is all I am asking, to be credited the difference, which was approx. $55 per night. I stayed 2 nights.
I am not asking for a full refund, just a fair price. The room on the third floor had street noise. Also, it did not have the view that a 22nd floor room would have had. The employee that offered me this room goes by the name of ***, and I believe she works the front desk.
Billing Adjustment *** was $90 USD per night. I paid about $145.USD or $55. USD more per night thinking I would get a quieter room with a better view. I am asking for a refund of $110. USD.
