Last Fall Berkshire Tree removed a tree from my property for $1400 and promised in writing to return in the Spring to re-seed the area. Not done. Last fall, the [redacted] of Berkshire Tree Service,[redacted], removed a tree from my property ($1400). A written promise was made to return in the Spring to re-grade and seed. In good faith, I paid the bill in full. Several phone calls later this past month and this month (at least 10, of which I have a record), he still has not fulfilled his obligation.Desired SettlementI want him to replace the topsoil that has washed away, re-seed the area, and cover with hay to prevent further erosion. Either that, or pay the bill for another company to do the work. Business' Initial Response Regarding case[redacted]. I have spoken with [redacted] and explained why we haven't been back to finish her job. She understands and we will be finishing her job next week weather permittingConsumer's Final Response I have received his reply, a reply I forced from him by calling him again on the day before deadline. I hope that he will keep this promise, although I am somewhat doubtful given his history of promises to me re. this complaint; hence, I would appreciate it if you would keep the file open. Thank you.
I was sold unseasoned, green wood for my woodstove despite being told that it was seasoned and NOT green.I called Berkshire Tree Service on [redacted] about ordering fire wood for my wood stove. They called back the next day, and we arranged for them to deliver a cord of wood the following Tuesday. It came and went, and they rescheduled for Wednesday. Still never showed up. Eventually it became "this week" that the cord would be delivered, but come 5pm Friday [redacted] still no firewood was delivered, despite a constant assurance from the man I spoke to that Friday was the absolute latest I would have it delivered. I had to physically drive to the warehouse to confront them for answers. When I arrived, three of the men working there saw me approach, muttered amongst themselves, and began walking the opposite direction so they wouldn't have to actually DEAL with a CUSTOMER. Finally, I managed to track down the man I spoke to on the phone, who tried his best to get out of there before I could approach him. He had no idea who I was and had, for the seventh time, "forgotten" my order of 1 cord of what he had assured me was seasoned wood. He suddenly refused to deliver unless we ordered a second cord (doubling the price, moving it from [redacted] to [redacted] on a whim because he could apparently see how desperate we were for wood after his lying about delivering it for two weeks caused our remaining stock from last year to fully deplete.)Desired SettlementWe would like at least the second cord of wood taken back and refunded, because of both the hassle in attaining it and the fact that it wasn't what we wanted and doesn't burn at all. I want these guys to have a lower grade than an A-, because this has been literally the worst experience I've ever had with any service I have received buying a product that I was lied to about. I am offended, and I don't have any wood for winter, which sucks because it's HOW I HEAT MY HOME, and now nobody else has any for me to buy, either. These guys really, really screwed me with this.
