Review: Ben provided electrical services for us. The work involved multiple visits and we gave him a house key. Upon the completion of the final visit, we asked Ben to leave the key before he left. When we returned home, he did not leave the key and he did not finish work on securing exposed wiring for light wiring that he was unauthorized to do (although we allowed him to leave the work and not undo it at his request). We called his office and were told that Ben would return the next time he was in the area and would give us a call. After approximately 3 weeks, we did not hear from him. I called the office everyday for 3-4 days since no one picked up. I left a message each time. I continued to call the following week, when a woman finally answered. She said she would check with Ben and called me back the following day to tell me that they would send me the key in the mail, but that I would need to speak to Ben regarding the lighting because his story is that we asked him to do the work and changed our mind. This was absolutely not the case - he did unauthorized work and allowed him to leave it, but need it safely finished and up to code. I told her that I have called the above mentioned times, leaving messages to speak with him and resolve both issues, and have yet to hear from him. I have no other way of getting in touch with Ben other than the number I have and Ben refuses to pick up or call me back. She said she would relay the message to Ben and he would call me back. I have not heard from Ben. Two weeks later, we still have not received our keys in the mail. I have left messages every day this week (total of 3 days) for Ben to tell me the status of my keys. To me, this is entirely unprofessional and basically theft.Desired Settlement: We would either like the key returned or the cost of replacing our lock. We do not want to work with Ben again, but need the wiring finished - we would like the cost of this to be refunded to us.
