On 18 FEB 2020 I hired Mr. H to repair loose ceramic tiles in my bathroom shower. Mr. H presented a business card and described himself as an honest and fair contractor who prides himself with the quality and timeliness of his work. He added a homey touch by describing his family that he said he loves above all else. This I suppose, was to inspire honesty and trustworthiness. He also said he guarantees his work for 2 years. Over several days, Mr. H tore out most of the loose tiles which revealed a water soaked wood sub panel attached to wall studs. Mr. H tore out this wood panel leaving the studs. Mr. H then correctly installed new a hardie board panel. Mr. H the began to re tile the wall over the hardie board. However several inches before the top of the panel, he ran out of tiles. He covered the exposed hardie board with sheet plastic and masking tape. Mr. H collected the remaining money due him for the job and promised he would obtain more tiles to finish the job in short order. But Mr. H never returned with the tiles. Now Mr. H does not return the many phone calls and emails I sent to reach him. Mr. H has abandoned my repair job and left the shower unfinished. Moreover he failed to perform job clean up. After each day's work, I paid Mr. H for that day's work. I also paid him on the last day he was here before he abandoned my job.
