We had what we considered to be 1 very simple service and 3 other plumbing repairs needing service.

We walked the serviceman from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing through the services needed and were presented with his Proposed Work form. After looking over the form and the breakdown of the charges for the 4 services, WE WERE SHOCKED! A bill for $843.00 for service to :

1. Remove the whole house water filter and replace it with the filter we had on hand

2. Repair or Replace Toilet Fill Valve & Flapper

3. Repair Kitchen Faucet Leak

4. Repair Laundry Room Faucet Leak

The charges seemed exorbitant to us for the repairs/service required. It seemed to us that the parts and labor to fix the toilet and two faucets would not total over $800.00

We paid the $69.00 Service Fee and had this thought: and they didn't even extend the courtesy to remove the water filter and install the new filter (that we had on hand). Perhaps worth noting that we are both seniors needing help

with small and large maintenance issues around the house. We would think we could find reputable, honest, affordable help. Our experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was very disappointing and we are questioning calling other recommended licensed contractors for help. No wonder property owners call skilled but unlicensed contractors(who advertise as such) who perform plumbing, electrical, & other services at reasonable rates and at a professional level.
