I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted].

Mr. [redacted] filled out an application for residency at The Lofts at 1723. Per our procedure, we processed Mr. [redacted]'s application which involves running his credit and other related processing. While Mr. [redacted] may have withdrawn his application later, his application was already...
processed by the time he informed us resulting in the charge of $50. In the event Mr. [redacted] had let us know BEFORE we processed his application, we would have gladly refunded his application fee.As a show of good faith, we will waive the application fee if Mr. [redacted] chooses to apply again within the next 90 days.
Review: I submitted an application for residency along with a personal check (application fee = $50.00) on Friday, June 5, 2015. I submitted both items to the property manager, Bill G[redacted]. On Monday, June 8, 2015, I emailed Mr. G[redacted] and advised that I did not want to commit to residency at the Lofts at 1723 but if he would hold both my application and check. By Friday, June 12, 2015 I emailed Mr. G[redacted] to advising that I was withdrawing my application. I asked Mr. G[redacted] to discard both the application and check for $50. On Thursday, July 9, 2015, check #170 written to "The Lofts at 1723" for $50.00 was cashed/tendered from my Virginia Credit Union account. I emailed Mr. G[redacted] inquiring why my check was held close to a month following my request to withdraw my application and check. I also phoned Mr. G[redacted] leaving two voicemails. I called Mr. G[redacted] twice today, July 13, 2015 and left one voicemail.I have yet to hear back from Mr. G[redacted] or any representative of the Lofts at 1723. Please assist me with this matter. Thanks in advance.Desired Settlement: I would like my $50.00 refunded. I was never informed that my check would be deposited despite my decision not to move into the property.
