In July 2016, we were hired by a property management company to replace the septic line from the house to the septic tankIn June of 2017, resident hired another contractor to install a forced sewer main from house to street to comply with a local plan called the STEP programThird party contractor dug up our work and claimed one hub of a pvc wye fitting was not gluedWe were not made aware of planned alterations to our work, or of the specified problem, until replacement and modification of the line was performed.Upon review of pictures provided to us by the resident, it was found that the fitting had been glued, but that the pipe had not been pressed deep enough into the hub of the fitting for a strong sealThis is observable by the hydrophobic surface having repelled the mud shown, as well as visible glue residue on the removed pipeIn-person inspection would have been preferred to verify issue. In good faith, Jay offered to continue honoring the warranty on the work that remained despite being altered by a third party companyThis was done to prove that we stand behind our work and realize that a mistake may have been for that single hub connectionWhen the resident doubted the quality of our work, an extra year of warranty was offered through verbal agreementAs a courtesy, we would be happy to run a camera through the line to verify that the remaining fittings were installed correctly and completelyIf an issue is found, we will schedule and complete a repair, at no cost
