In the past I have used many different moving companies and Beatties was one of the easiest I've dealt with. Also their packers and movers were phenomenal. I would highly recommended Beatties Moving Co.

I am submitting this form on behalf of my father in law. He hired Beattie's to move his goods in September and they have not delivered them.
See the above statement. The moving company will not answer their phone.
I would also like to request a partial refund.
We moved from Melbourne, Fl. to Murrells Inlet, Sc. We stored our household possessions for 7 months at $525 per month with Beattie's Moving and Storage. When the truck arrived on June 18, 2018 the driver had no helpers to help him unload the truck, so he did what he could that day. The next day he had 2 helpers and they finished unloading. Finally, I asked as they were standing around, if pretty soon they were going to unload my Big Screen TV, Bose Sound system, DVD players, DirecTV boxes and general electronics. They said Oh No! We looked, nothing in the truck.
It is now almost 14 months later and I still haven't been compensated for my loss of valuables. It has been STALL, STALL, STALL the whole time. I have been in touch with the owner Richard Beattie the whole time. He has acknowledged that his employees didn't enter a lot of items on the inventory sheets and as a result the insurance company did not want to pay for our losses and he, Richard Beattie said that he would send me a check for $3700, an agreed upon price to NOT SUE him as my valuables would cost me $7500 to $8,000 new or if I sued. We agreed on this amount in March of 2019. It is now August 12, 2019 in one week it will be 14 Months and although I have several texts saying "your check going out this week", I have received NO Check. Also, He is now ducking my phone calls and does not return calls or text messages. I have used other peoples cell phones and then he answers a phone number that is NOT Mine. This has all been complicated by the fact I DO believe that he has been battling serious health problems, BUT, How long does it take to WRITE a CHECK? OR DIRECT SOMEONE ELSE to WRITE and SEND ME MY CHECK? I think he has done this to countless other customers and gotten away with it. I paid Beattie's Moving and Storage $14,033 and there was other damage but the stalling and call avoidance is maddening. I will SUE, but what a hassle. The man claimed to be a Christian and said he would make it right. So far, all I've gotten is the Run Around. I would Stay As Far Away From This Company As Possible!!! One Star, Only Because 0 Stars Is Not An Option!!!!!
The owner of the company, Richard ***, lied when selling me the moving service. Then once we had a contract, he marked items unknown to me.
Sold service with a warranty, never mentioned a deductible.
Damaged many items, I filed a claim and now have a deductible. Early in the process, he was very rude and argumentative about the claim. He finally sent me a claim form and now has a document where he marked a deductible.
I would like either my damaged items repaired or a monetary value to replace the items.
Three months ago our furniture was delivered to us by Beatties .They had held our furniture in storage for almost 5 months with the guarantee that it
Stored in a climate controlled facility. When it arrived we noticed a male buffet was severely damaged by water . We showed it to the mover *** and he said he would report it. As we unpacked our things we found a large box of six lampshades was water damaged and the lamp shades all were mildewed. A lamp table had a broken leg and a box of shoes were thickly covered in mildew. I threw the shoes all out for fear of the mildew in our new house.
We paid $500 dollars in insurance and have yet had a representative from the company call here. Now we can not even contact them ,as they do not answer the phone.
Repair the damage on the buffet and table and refund the cost of the lamp shades.
As part of our moving contract Beattie agreed to delver 2 furniture chairs to our daughter in Colorado Springs CO for an additional $500.
In March 2018 Beattie moved our house furniture from Port Orange FL to Daytona Beach FL. We gave Beattie the contract because they said they could also transport two arm chairs to our daughter in Colorado Springs CO for an additional $500. We were satisfied with the move as it was very professional. They did say it could take them 3 months to make the arm chair move as most of their Colorado moves were in the Summer. We called, sent Email asking for a status report but they will not contact us. We feel we were deceived. We cannot understand why they will not contact us.

The company salesman was very thorough and professional which is why we chose them. The people who came to pack our breakables and load the truck were very pleasant and helpful. I asked the individual who recorded all of the boxes/etc what I needed to pay at the loading and I was told nothing which my husband overheard. This person left before the truck was fully loaded and I was then asked to make a substantial payment. I was referred to what I believed was the manager who told me the individual was with him and that I was not told that. I would have had no problem paying but that attitude of the manager was totally unprofessional. We received delivery in our new home with many things not placed in the appropriate rooms. There were items partially damaged. My husbands tool chest was bent and took quite some time to open it. Our desk accessories have been damaged. The book case was broken in the back and they applied tape to it. Seeing the review here, I will not bother to file claims. But I would not recommend this company.
OUR MANGER SPOKE TO THE SHIPPER AND SHE EAS A LITTLE UPSET BECAUSE SHE HAD TO PAY FOR SERVICES PROVIDED AT TIME OF PICK UP FOR STORAGE. PACKING AND STORAGE PICK UP.AS FOR DAMAGE .WE NOT AWARE OF ANY .DAMAGE.
Broken and missing items as well as crushed boxes.
Scheduled a move with this company for 6/22.The day before the move I was told that they would be a day late because they didn't have a truck, which turned into two days late. I was also told for a month that they would drop off wardrobe boxes, but it wasn't done until the day they showed up to pack. When truck arrived I told driver that the truck was not big enough for all of my things and he disagreed until later that day when I was told that another truck would return the next day to load the rest of my things(which they completely filled). That brings me to delivery day. They sent 3 men and one of those men could not lift anything heavy. I was told that I was being charged for 4 men, which makes sense with the amount of items that needed to be unloaded. Items were damaged, some even broken in half. Boxes and plastic bends completely crushed. Several items missing from move. The Estimate was $3000.00 less than final cost to me.
I would like replacement of the missing items. I would also like a replacement on the two items that were broken in half.
MISS POST HAD 60/LB AND WAS PAID IN FULL ON HER CLAIM SHE TURN DOWN FULL REPLACEMENT INS. STATING THAT THE COST FOR THIS WAS TO HIGH.MISS POST KNOWS HOW THE INS. WORKS AND WILL PAY ON CLAIMS DEPENDING ON THE COVERAGE THAT YOU CHOOSE BECAUSE SHE WORKED FOR A MOVING COMP. FOR YEARS DOING CLAINS FOR DRIVERS ????????//?????
