Please let me begin by saying that if you are looking for help, do not let this review discourage, or scare you from getting it. There MUST be real facilities out there who will help you without abusing, and neglecting you. With that said, My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cirrhosis, and gastritis. He has no insurance, so we paid cash money. (On a preschool teacher's salary, this was no easy feat.) The facility was made aware of his preexisting conditions and they promised me that the treatment would work around it. (24hr medical care and observation, special diet individually prepared by a chef, therapy, the works) They arranged to have a driver meet us "halfway". (we live 8.5 hrs away) The driver drove 2.5 hrs and then yelled at me over the phone because we were 45m late. In hindsight, I should have turned back then. He arrived at the facility, and was not able to make a safe call to let me know he was okay. I sent him with all of his medical paperwork, and they didn't even look at it. It was thrown in his bag. They gave him at least 12 different medications without looking at his medical history. He was put into a room with a camera and left there. The exact opposite of what I was promised. I called at least 3 times a day to check on him. " he's doing so great, hes so with the amenities, hes eating well, little anxiety but that's normal" In truth, He was so sick. He couldn't stomach any of the food that they gave him (it was not special to his needs or individually prepared.) All his food trays just stacked up in the room, untouched while they told me he was eating fine. I sent him with money to get drinks and things out of the machines or whatever. Apparently the only thing he could buy was CIGARETTES. He went in an alcoholic, and came out an alcoholic smoker. There were NO DOCTORS AT ALL. 24hr medical care is the biggest lie of the whole place. He spoke to a therapist over zoom. The only people there are employees (ex-addicts) who couldn't be found most of the time. HE WAS DENIED WATER.. He asked, and asked and they would roll their eyes at him or hang up the phone. With all the medications, and him not eating, he was sick to his stomach. he'd sit in this room throwing up, diarrhea, miserable, and they would come in the next morning making fun of him. " Looked like you had a rough night, haha!" I WAS PROMISED DIGNITY AND RESPECT. So when I finally got to speak to him over the phone, and learned of what they were doing I left immediately on the 8.5hr drive. I had clarified before I brought him that if for any reason he was unhappy if I could pick him up at any time."yes of course" (Thank GOD I got that one in writing.) and when I arrived the next day, they told me that they wouldn't give him to me or tell him I was there. I had to contact the police department to get him, and show them that I had in writing that I could take him. After arriving home, I had to take him straight to the emergency room, and he was admitted into the hospital because the gastritis had worsened from all the unknown medication and SEVERE dehydration. Oh, and to top it all off, The credit card I sent him with, and the debit card I used to pay for the treatment were both hacked. had over $500 stolen. Please take this to heart and find a different facility.
