Review: whatever I brought my car in to [redacted] St. Auto Repair because my car sounded like it was in high gear or four wheel drive all the time. I have two wheel and four wheel drive on my 2003 SUV. I explained over the phone and in person to [redacted] what it sounded like, and mentioned that the Service Engine and Service 4 Wheel Drive lights were on. I asked him also to road test it first before hooking it up. He said they always hook it up to the computer diagnosis equipment first. Well, after a couple days [redacted] proclaims they found a faulty sensor in the drive train, and that should have fixed the problem. But also that there were several engine codes still popping up. Ok, so this is where it gets tricky. I told [redacted] that I didn't want to spend any more money if the problem was fixed. I paid him $329.00 dollars he gave me the keys and I started to drive. Immediately I could tell the same exact problem was going on. I brought the car right back to him and asked if anyone had road tested it. Nope! [redacted] didn't say anything. He got in the car and drove it himself. He came back and said he had several ideas of what it could be. Uh, and those ideas didn't have anything to do with the sensor they replaced and charged me for.So now I have to leave my car with him several more days while he goes through the engine codes to try and track down the problem. Now I have to call him to get updates. "No, we haven't figured it out yet. We're checking other sensors,...". I ask him if it's drivable, and he says no. Everything's taken apart. No status updates come from [redacted] anymore after that. Silence. Two days later he explains they can't figure it out and that I should take it to City Cheverolet, and maybe they can figure it out. I get in to drive the car after he gives me their computer printout on my car. I get in and start it up. I can immediately tell it's running rougher, and now with a noticeable vibration. I ask [redacted] why and he says one of the engine cylinders is out of sync. Something to do with one of the codes he mentioned. So now not only is the car not fixed, it runs worse than when I brought it in.Here's where it gets really fun. I drive off to work, and I'm just getting on the freeway when I notice the ABS and Brake lights are on. I haven't stepped hard on the brakes, and the emergency brake is down. I call [redacted] when I get to work (I can smell something was rubbing and overheated when I got out), and ask him why those lights are on. He said he didn't touch those systems, and provided no other explanation. So here's the end result of taking my car to [redacted]'s [redacted] St. Auto Repair: Charged $329 and problem never fixed- Car out of service for a week.Car runs worse, and has more problems than when I brought it in.Now I have to pay another service department to do a computer analysis ($85 for the engine AND another $85 for the ABS/Brake lights)I am told by the new service department that my car may be out of service for another week since it was un-drivable (I had to bring it in on a Friday).Desired Settlement: I would not only like my money refunded for the work they did (and didn't do), but also for any additional charges (like for now having the ABS/Brake lights on) that will now require service.
