Response:
This complaint is a complete lie, and an attempt to avoid paying a debt. The vehicle owner never once disputed the charges, and in fact left our facility thankful that we were releasing the vehicle to her in spite of the fact that she had not paid the bill. We did not break her engine, the engine was a used unit, supplied by the customer, and was broken when it was received. I explained this to the customer, who agreed to make arrangements for a replacement engine to be delivered. I was very clear to the customer that we were not going to replace an engine twice for the price of one, and that if she did not think she should pay for the second engine installation, she should take the matter up with the junkyard which supplied the defective engine to her in the first place. We do not replace engines for free, and we do not warranty engines we did not sell. Furthermore, the customer verbally acknowledged the debt to me, in my office, upon picking up the vehicle. Her exact words were "I will not [redacted] you on this, [redacted]."
