BBC Worldwide Freight

Review: I purchased a classic 1953 Chevrolet 210 sedan from a website in New York. The broker for the vehicle ([redacted]) recommended BBC Worldwide Freight to transport the vehicle to my home in Tennessee. I purchased an inspection of the vehicle from an outside, unbiased company, and they performed the inspection and sent me photos and the complete results of the said inspection. There were a few minor issues, but all body panels were photographed and they were fine. I contacted BBC Worldwide Freight about the transport, and I was quoted $850.00 and was told the transport was fully insured. When I received the vehicle in December 2014, the passenger had a large scratch approximately 18"-22" long, all the way to the steel. The driver ([redacted]) stated the windshield visor came loose during transport, scratched the top of the vehicle, broke the attachment brackets, and was swinging against the passenger door when the driver noticed what happened. I stated the damage on the receipt when the vehicle was delivered, and was satisfied the carriers liability insurance would cover the damages. I received two (2) estimates from local body shops, scanned them, and sent them to BBC Worldwide Freight. I was then informed that they had brokered the transport to: On Tome One Transport from Nashville Tennessee. I spoke with the representative from that company, [redacted], and she stated they were not responsible for the damages. I cannot locate any information on this company, other than the names [redacted] and [redacted]. I feel as if I was mislead when I was assured the transport was fully insured, now no one will agree to pay for the damages incurred. One of the estimates was: $1,687.10 and the other: $1,730.05. I had an agreement with BBC Worldwide Freight, [redacted], and I feel as if he should be responsible for making sure the damages are taken care of. I was told I was responsible for the damages, and I bought the vehicle with the assurance it was covered.Desired Settlement: I want one of the companies to take care of the damages incurred during the transport of the vehicle to Tennessee. I feel as if BBC Worldwide Freight should be responsible (that is who I dealt with) and they should pursue the matter with the other company and their insurance company.
