Review: Bayshore Community Hospital sent my account to collection when the bill was paid in full by my insurance company. I received a call from Bayshore approx. a month ago. They stated that I owed them a payment. I asked that they send me a bill for the payment, however no bill was sent to me. Today I received a letter from a collections company. In review of the information sent to collections I discovered that my insurance had paid the bill and that I have no obligated for any amount of this bill according to my insurance company. This is double billing by Bayshore Community Hospital.Desired Settlement: For Bayshore resolve the issue and to take the account out of collections. A letter from Bayshore that I do not owe a payment for the bill sent to collections.
Review: My wife was admitted through emergency room .We arrived at 430pm 3/3/15.She was discharged 921pm following evening .A bill came for co-pay asking for 75.00 today 4/30/15.I had called insurance who is [redacted] they explained the coding was she was being observed.She was there for testing they did admit he due to the testing had to be spaced out over hours. She under went two cat scans 3 ekgs .I called to straighten out confusion on bill,woman who answered stated she was here for 21 hours I stated no she was there longer your notes are not accurate ,and all she could do was talk over me not try to listen or understand the nature of call.Woman from hospital stated sir they go by military time.Okay I served the military 1630 to 1630 is 24 hours add another coiple of hours to the time discharged at 21:17.. Oh I see what they did since she was on a bed against wall due to no rooms available they left her there for hours then got her a room around 2 am .HmmmmmDesired Settlement: Other than the billing adjustment I would like a letter of apology from the hospital administrator and a apology from that woman from billing who said she was only from financial but was so eager to argue .You are health care providers.Understand the hospitals name is being tarnished by a few apples also social media sites will have posting of the unprofessional conuct of your staff unless we here from you.
