We received a letter from your office about a complaint made by a perspective guest at the hotel. The Perspective guest claims that one of our front desk personnel promised a downstairs room to her. Our hotel policy is assignment of rooms per availability. We make every effort to assign rooms...

per guest preference, however in some situations, we can't assign them the room of their choice, some of the reasons are that people staying in those rooms extend their stay, room goes down behind a couple of them. It is legal to assign rooms before the guest checks in. The complaint also claims that the reservation was cancelled. We talked to the representative and had her write her own statement explain what transpired when she talked with the guest. Her statement is attached. We strive hard to provide top customer service to every guest that walks in our front door.
